Has anybody tried dowsing....were you successful..?...what method did you use..?

I hear that if you have a certain Crystal (not sure which one..!) with a tiny piece of the element you are looking for (IE;Gold) this can very effective...?

i tried, and i failed. of course, i may have been using the wrong type of wood

I think that the Brit's use hazel - they say that that's really good for dowsing. Otherwise two wire coat hangers.


Ive never used dowsing rods

Personally I have never tried it. Like to give it a go one day (might try for gold!)

There's another method I've heard of where you hold a weighted, pointed object suspended from a piece of string (like a plumb-bob) over a map of the area you want to search. You concentrate on whatever it is you want to find (eg water) and slowly move your hand over the map. Supposedly the weighted object stops swinging when you're over the right area on the map.

map dowsing is generally used for large areas, when a rod would be impractical, or if you can not get to the area you want to dowse.

This skill looks simple to learn.

Tried it several times. Sometimes it works well, but only when I am on alpha state, followed by a severe headache. If I don't feel anything, then usualy it doesn't work, or just pure chances.
