CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) -- NASA has delayed the liftoff of its Swift science probe aboard a Delta Two rocket until at least Saturday.

Engineers found parts of the booster's range safety system to be faulty yesterday. Now they must replace and retest the system that allows flight controllers to destroy the rocket if it veers off course.

NASA managers expect to complete the work in time for a Saturday launch attempt.

The 250 million dollar Swift mission will study gamma ray bursts in distant parts of the cosmos for at least two years in an effort to learn more about the cataclysmic explosions and the
evolution of the universe. Source!

NASA is doing quite the number of projects these days aren't they. Its good to see they're keeping themselves busy.
