Riddle me this, Does a circle have a begining and an end? If not then why does the universe have to have a begining and an end? I know I'm not talking about entropy, but my point is, there are no absolutes. We can surmise, theorise, postulate, calculate,or whatever.BUT in the end, what have you really proven? Yes I know it's man's nature to ask why,and to explore. But what if we never find all the answers to all the questions? Will it matter after I'm gone? Or after my daughter is gone?Or maybe after my grandson is gone?If the universe ends a billion years from now,or a hundred billion years from now? What does it really matter? But I don't want to get too long winded. However I do want to give you food for thought. What if God,instead of being an entity or whatever. What if God is the universe and everything in it?That would explain a lot wouldn't it? good night to all! htrn3000

Actually, God being the Universe and everything in it would no more explain the questions in the future than they do now. God is not an explanation. He might be a reason. He might be an excuse. He is certainly a belief. But as far as explanations go, he fails to meet the criteria. He does not give us the data that we need in order to accurately and reliably predict phenomena, which is what science does.
A circle may not have a begining or an end, but it is most definitely finite in existence. Similarly, a sphere, which is the currently accepted model of the universe, also has no begining or end, however it is finite in quantity and can both expand and collapse without ever forming boundaries.
