Thanato
This was the first Broken Arrow incident. A live Mk. 4 nuclear weapon and a B36 were lost over Canada (they were later found). The US government didnt tell the Canadians that there was a Nuclear Weapon.

The US government still wont give the truth of this incedent, it happend in 1950. The crew wont give information about there mission.

4 years after the Crash, the Crash site was disscuvered. a US specail forces team went in with lots of explosives and destroyed it. No one knows what happend to the bomb, or what really went on up there.

This is nothing new, I have/had a news article on my computer that gave the US military's list of broken arrow incidents since the 50's. There was at least over 26 incidents, mostly crashes of bombers or delivery fighters. Surprisingly the warheads themselves burn up due to their alloyed casings! What is left is a low grade radiological mess that gets scooped up and sent to Nevada most likely. There ware several planes that hit the drink outside Georgia, Washington state, and Hawaii that have never been recovered due to their depths at the time!

Well Thanato I was in the US military for some time, I do know that nuclear ordnance disposal is a specialty taught only to a select few units. I doubt the Canadian forces have a specialist that could do it since you Government is so anti Nuke! My guess is they called US forces in to take care of a US mess. I suppose they didn't advertise this fact since both our governments probably want to keep it low key.
Also just 'cause nobody wants to talk about it doesn't mean it was a conspiracy. I mean did they kill anybody? destroy any property? not clean up the mess? Why isn't your government wagging it's finger at the US? I imagine it was because we both cooperated in a joint effort to clean it up, not just ignore it and let it glow!

Since nobody was hurt..its no big deal. They cleaned it up and left, done and done!
