Okay Help Me OUT!! I have an hr of noises from a recent haunting investigation and I'd like to find out better what it is. I have downloaded both the free version of Cool Edit and the 30 day trial. I cannot figure out how to filter out all the noises to get to the good stuff. I have done a goggle search and know what frequencies I need but I have no clue on how to filter it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take care,
Klamath

The first thing you need to do is find the folder where cool edit is installed. Then drag it into the recycle bin. Right click the bin, and select "empty recycle bin".
Then, download Sound Forge 7.0 from Kazaa lite K++, and find a crack or serial number for it. You need the same version.
Once you have it loaded up with your sound, apply a graphic, or parametric EQ to it. This is found under the "special" bar. Or it might be the "effects" bar. Whatever, they're right next to each other.
A window will pop up with a graph. The graph represents the frequency filter. You should see a box with a line accross the center of it. If you want to take out the low frequencies, make the line sharply drop off on the left side. and vice versa for the high frequencies. You can actually have you sound playing as you experiment with this, and after awhile, you should be able to osilate the frequency you want. By then, he graph will probably resemble the printout of a seismometer. *chuckles*
Good luck!

They will install it without your knowledge.
