Godzilla, doesn't the name say it all? Godzilla is my favorite thing that is on T.V.. It's probably because that was the only thing i watched whenever i was little. And i just think that we should pay a little tribute to the Big G. Since it has been 50 years since the first godzilla movie came out and since then he has had over 28 sequels. Which is the 3rd longest running series of movies in the world.
But what i think is unique about him is that even today there still making godzilla movies. Godzilla Final wars is having a hollywood premiere on Nov. 29.
So this one goes out to all of the Godzilla fans out there.

Well with Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong due for release next year and Final Wars coming out soon and the growing trend of vs. movies maybe we will get a (remake of) King Kong vs. Godzilla.

The only great Godzilla movie that I saw was the one where Godzilla wasn't a puppet. I know Japan has better technology than that, the US one in New York was probably the best one I saw.

I did like the US one, I wish they'd do a sequal. I'd also like to see Final Wars

What's also weird is that I was playing MGS3 and it was mentioned when I saved, and that he turned 50 in 2004, if I recall. That game is awesome, by the way. So Godzilla.

You noticed I did not include GINO(Godzilla in name Only) in my list. I should have included Zilla, the new Gino in Final Wars. But that monster wasn't even Godzilla like. No beam powers. Just a cab caught on fire and blew up during his roar. And he humps and molest inocent buildings!

Sweet

. Sadly, we can't buy that many godzilla movies here:no:. The only ones I have are The Original on VHS in black and white, and Godzilla VS Megalon, also on VHS.
If I ever go to Mexico City for a week, I may have to borrow one off of you

.
So whats your favorite godzilla monster?
Personally, Baragon is my fave.

I, too, am a big Godzilla fan. I have about half of the movies, maybe a little less. Have to rebuy some of the on dvd. My favorite monster, besides Godzilla himself, was always Gigan.

Well lucky you. Its really hard to find any good Godzilla movies in my town.. *sigh*... Have you seen Gigan in Final Wars? He looks way cooler.

I don't see what Sonic and Godzilla would have in common.
It would be better to make a seperate topic for each, rather than having confusing conversations about both at once.

Good idea, but I dont know how to change a topic... Im just too lazy to make 2 at once... Thought this would be easier.

The American version of Godzilla was total crap! Sorry, but when it comes to the big guy, you really have to have a dude in a suit doing battle with all sorts of crazy nonsense. When Hollywood got hold of it and tried to make it all CG and believeable, they sucked the soul right out of the franchise. As far as I'm concerned, that wasn't Godzilla at all, just a big iguana who deserved to die at the end.

A real Godzillas fan would have known there are 2 versions of the film King Kong Vs. Godzilla.
The American version when you saw both monsters fall in the water you hear kongs voice and see him swimming away. The original Japanese version you hear both voices signaling it was a tie! I dont know why they did not have a shot of Godzilla swimming in the ocean or walking on the ocean floor. But Ironically enough the directer actually wanted Kong to win becasue Godzilla was considered evil then, but he did not know how too do it. So they edited the movie for us Americans and gave out a pr statement trying to end the debate by saying kong won.

Whoa!
You got me there.
I know in Japan the movie was named "Godzilla vs King Kong" where as in the US they named it "King Kong vs Godzilla" LoL
And yeah Godzilla was suppose to be evil, and Kong was suppose to be good. But I never knew it was suppose to end in a tie. Thanks for the info.
