What a bonnie assignment you've got yerself there, och aye.
I don't really know much information on the monster itself, but I can easily tell you that even Scottish people associate "up north" and the mention of the word "Loch" with the Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie as she is known ("loch" simply means "lake" and there are many in Scotland, with Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Loch Tay and Loch Katrine, to name but a few). Webcams and such have been set up there for the obsessed and many photos have been taken on the surface
and under the surface of the water of suspected anomalies, shadows, but nothing too conclusiveto my knowledge, has shown up.
Hope that helps, straight from the top of ma head (but all true!)
Good luck with the assignment!
