i think it happened on 30th of april or 1st of march 2004.....

it was about 7 to 8 pm, and the sky was quite dark due to a thunderstorm earlier in the evening. As an avid ufo watcher (until that day, never had a sighting laugh.gif ) i like scanning the sky, in hope for a ufo. there was no stars visible during that time.

I was just parking my car in my porch, and saw a streak of light in the sky. it was quite fast, maybe around 2 seconds, crossing the sky from the east horizon straight to north. i just stood there and my heart was beating like it was going to xplode.

Then i started to think other explanation that may cause the sighting. it might be the leonid meteor, or light reflected on my eyeglasses, but during that time it was cloudy and thought that the streak was too clear to be a reflected light.

Did anybody happen to see it too? i searched in the internet for any similar sighting but found nothing. i'm from malaysia

yah the funny part was after the sighting i told my brother about the incident. he was so sceptical and told me until he saw with his own eyes, he wouldn't believed me.

And he did.

couple of weeks later, while tuning up his car, he saw a bright white light a size of a football (soccer) flew in sky, followed the same route as one i saw. And he saw it a couple of seconds just before i joined him. talk about luck.

serves him right for making fun of what i saw. devil.gif

what about meteors?

the thing was i thought it was a meteor never seen one before, but the chances of it happens in this small country is very very small.. i think. it was cloudy during that time too....maybe the meteor got past the cloud layers.. blink.gif

Meteors come in many shapes and forms but usually appear a quick streaks of light across the sky. This, although cloudy at the time, is most likely what you saw.

Now if it made a hard left or right during its flight path, I'd be inclined to think differently.

But who knows??
