Drugs, weapons found in his home

NEWARK, New Jersey (AP) -- A father's attempt to teach his daughter a lesson about drinking backfired when the teen led police to a stash of drugs and weapons inside their home.
Kevin Winston, 46, called police at 2:45 a.m. Friday after his 16-year-old daughter came home drunk and unruly. When police arrived, however, the girl told them she feared for her safety because her father stored drugs and weapons in the home.
The girl led officers to a crawl space above the ceiling where they found four semiautomatic guns and more than 600 vials of cocaine.
Winston was charged with numerous weapons and drug charges. His five daughters were placed in the custody of a relative.
"He called us on her and ended up getting locked up himself," said Newark Police Director Anthony Ambrose.

If I was a heroin addict and I had a child, I wouldn't want my child doing heroin, drinking or anything of the sort.. I consider it to be a bit hypocritical, but it's a problem, and I wouldn't want to share it with my children. And maybe he thought his daughter cared a little bit more about him.

he obviously wasnt an adict, he was a dealer, no adict would have 600 viles stashed, they would have been done been used, also no adicts would waste thier money on semi-autos, and everyone knows to be a good dealer you have to not use the product, either way i hope his daughter was also in trouble for underage drinking

Stupid really I don't think he thought about them finding his stash. And it's not uncommon for kids to underage drink. Hell I knew a friend in sr high school who was drinking and she was seventeen at the time. But that was a couple or so years ago.
