I think yes

I said yes, because I will stick to the theory of underwater caverns with air holes, and dry land where nessie(s) could laze around and breed/lay eggs and such.

I say no, because there just isn't the amount of food necessary to sustain a breeding population of large aquatic mammals, and because I cannot think of a single non-mammal that acts in the manner that Nessie is supposed to act.

I believe in something at Loch Ness. What that is, is to be seen. A plesiosaur? Waterhorse? Giant Seal? Sturgeon? I have my opnions, but it's to be seen or never seen, as the case may be.

As most are, im pretty skeptical on the whole Loch Ness monster idea...but since no concrete proof exists one must admit that it is a possibility
It would also be pretty cool if there was a dinosaur down there too

I don't think it's impossible, but I find things like this are best solved by logic.

i think at one time there was a lochness monster, i think the loch could sustain a large animal, but since the first sighting in 565ad? or 656 ad?(not sure on dates) i think the monster has died off by now .

I definently believe there is such thing. I even did a project on it!

Gabriel, have you ever considered that there maybe be multiple Loch monsters. A small group of large breeding mammals would be able to survive a very long period of time... even if the one originally sighted has long died off, its offspring could continue to produce further generations, or the 'monsters' seen today.

would u mate with ur family? i think they could excape the loch though underwater ways and all that but, all that inbreeding over decades yes yes u would have a monster no longer a dinosaur eel or what ever u think it might be. at the most there could have been two one younger than the other. and that could help with more sightings. if there were a family of nessies that had been procreating all this time, i think sightings would be more frequent and more eveidence would come to light. since the first sighting in 656 ad all the way till now ( by going with exclusive's idea here) i would think the place would be swimming with them now.
going to the bottem of the loch and excavating the loch floor i would hope to be certian to find evidence of a large monster that lived there in, i honistly think that is the only way to prove that it once lived durring human time.

Gabriel, they have sent submarines into the loch many times.
Two years ago they found the skeleton of a unknown animal, probably just a dinosaur.

i have to say no firstly with no natural predators the loch should surely be chock-a-block full of nessie and secondly surely if they were just interbreeding with each other there would be no new dna so it would start to decay and eventually die off

I definately think there is
something strange lurking in the waters of the loch. There are simply too many witnessed events, many of which come from trustworthy and respectedindividuals, to simply pass it off as a hoax. There is a network of underwater tunnels as people have mentioned. These could serve as both shelter and hiding ground for the beast. There is an abudance of fish which would serve as a food source. What people have trouble believing is that its existed for so long. There are accounts of sightings way back in 565 AD!! Many people believe that it is not one singular creature but many. This is pretty probable i think. A small herd of creatures could easily exist in the loch. The only thing that bother me is the lack of carcasses from already dead Nessies. Maybe its a situation like the elephants gaveyard in that the Nessie goes to a specific area to die, like and underground cavern. Who knows *shrugs*

i voted yes...
as i've yet to put off by the constant expeditions to prove it doesn't exist...
i think theres a monster that visits the loch, but i don't think it lives in the loch all year around, there not enough food to support the creature for too long...

Supposedly there is. I read somewhere that there is a constant flow of Salmon in the waters.

i heard of an artical that they recoverd a ww2 plane that sunk in the loch, and the remains of a (pleaseasaur?) (lol) and found the remains to be a fake. im just as romantic a bout thinking that there could be an new or acient creature swimming in the loch, i think there was at one point, but now in this time?! no, i have to say the first sighting was in 565 ad. is now 2004 i fint it hard to beleve that its still a round.

I know i've mentioned this many times before, but there is no known network of tunnels under Loch Ness. The type of rock the sides of the Loch are composed of is not the type of rock that tunnels can form in, and no tunnels have ever been found. This was a theory someone came up with a few years ago and to date there has been no evidence that any such tunnels exist.
