When studying Buddhism, I've often encountered the assertion that is not in fact a religion but a philosophy. I'd just like to hear what some of you have to say on this matter - what distinguishes a philosophy from a religion?

I think religion his a religion because they worship a god.
philosophy as with Boudhism, his more a way of life, and the Buddha his only their teacher, not a god.
