How about, the second option is Predator, and the first is alien, for everyone who votes.


I vote both. Predators are fighting machines with extreme technology designed specifically to hunt aliens and other species they consider prey. They are powerful and smart, but they are not very fast and their numbers are extremely limited. They live a normal intelligent life.

Aliens on the other hand are not intelligent creatures. They do not value life, they do not feel pain or care about death. They do not have any technology, but what they certainly don't lack weapons, they ARE weapons. VERY fast, very strong, and their numbers came become extremely great. Plus they breed by killing and they are governed by an extremely intelligent queen who sees and knows all and has an endless supply of parasites. The alien hive can only end when the queen is dead, and there are always more alien hives.


Both have lots of pros and cons. One pred against mutiple aliens? ALiens win. One alien against mutiple preds? Preds win. Several preds against several aliens? Very even matched.

I agree with that But i don't with the last paragraph.At a distance,a predator would waste many aliens.The preds have more than enough weapons to hold back the aliens.In a way,AVP is kinda like Spiderman 2.The preds(also spiderman)have honor,use their skills,and fight like normal.The aliens(also dr.octopus)have many ways of attacking their foe(spiderman and preds).Aliens and dr.Octopus attack in many ways at the same time,while the other fight with arms.aliens use acid,tail,tongue and so on.Dr.octopus uses all the robotics.Preds and spiderman fight in one way at a time.The preds and spiderman are smarter and have better skills,but the others have multiple attacks.Several preds would beat several aliens.A one on one fight up close between a pred and an alien is a close fight.Aliens have the advantage up close,preds have the advantage from a distance...

I completely agree, i didn't factor in distance.

Take away a preds Net, Hookshot, Plasma Rifle, Shoulder Cannon and Disk, then the alien would almost pretty much win.

I think that it would depend on the actors, like, say, the Predator guy, he has cool props, that don't actually work, but if he has no honor, he can swing it at the Alien guy's head. Unless the alien actor knows kung-fu, and proceeds to b**** slap the Predator dude. But then maybe the predator guy knows jujitsu, and throws the alien to the ground, and kicks him in the head. And then, the alien guy, who's latex costume is already sweaty and riding up his crotch, loses it and punches the predator in the sack, dropping him pretty much immediately. But don't the predator costumes have, like, metal codpieces? So the alien would just hurt his hand and get even madder. So he'd use his tail like a bullwhip, and smack the predator around. This would go on until security showed up and both actors got fired.

But most likely you can find both Predators and Aliens hanging out at the craft table chowing pastries.

I think an alien would win,
Predators are too clumsy,there built too much like a human and an Alien could easily dodge the preds tools,its speed and agility would take out the pred in no time at all if locked together in a small room,,,
saying that in an open environment the pred with its intelligence and planning could probably give the Alien a run for his money!

Old post revived, I don't want to open a post that will be closed because this one is up, just wanted to talk about the movie.

The movie was kinda...meh, right? I mean, I wish I could have seen an army of predators vs. an army of aliens. I only saw like some predators vs. some aliens in a trapped pyramid, I wish it was more intense though.

In the movie, the predators pretty much win it all. The aliens die, the queen is sunk, the predators leave and give the girl a nice gift to remember them by, so that kinda gives you a sense to join the side of Predators because they were nicer to the humans...

I favored aliens before I saw this movie, now I favor the predators because of their tolerance to that girl, it made me feel wierd.

And their technology, predator technology? Dudes....that is more alien than the aliens themselves. Predators travel in wha I like to call UFO's, they have these plasma technology, whao...now that is far our techs.

But I hope there is an AVP: 2, o how much I want to see a second one!!!!!!
A second one that is better I mean. I was hoping that AVP was just a prequal to AVP: 2, you know...to get your mouths watering...

The whole phrase that involves the saying of 'Its their fight, and either way we lose', its kinda to exaggerated for this movie. I mean, predators did win this round, and we didn't lose....'the enemy of our enemy is our friend'....

But who knows...maybe the Aliens will help the humans this time and maybe there will a catastrophic war .

That movie was more than meh. That movie was "Should I finish watching this or try to swallow a shotgun?" bad.

You gotta admit, the fighting scenes were the only thing that kept us from watching it...the story line however was maybe worse than how you described it.......

One on one Alien vs Predator, with no injuries etc, the Alien doesn't stand a chance.

But that's not the point of the Aliens vs Predator. It's AlienS vs Predator. A predator can take, in a straight fight, a good couple dozen aliens down before going down himself. But the aliens are relentless, and will take down preds in due time with enough of them.

Also, if a pred was going one on one without any weapons or tech, the alien would rip it to shreds.

Don't you remember the scene where the 4 people get ambushed by the predator? There were TWO predators there at the time. An alien all of a sudden sticks its tail into one of the predators ( ) and kills the predator with its tongue thing!!! ( )

And when the alien embraced with the SECOND predator, he eventually ends up winning, AGAIN with his tongue thingy that just kills the predator dead on in the skull ( ).

The aliens rocked!!

But there was this time when the predator sliced the alien's head in like a split second...o well.

Of course i saw it, i own it.

But my specs are based on the REAL, ACTUAL Alien and predator movies, as well as the alien vs predator comics, books and to some extent, games, which are far better than the movie.

I don't think Paul Anderson ever saw a Alien or Predator movie in his life, just like he obviously never played a Resident Evil game, since he gets his movies so wrong and so far from what they should be.

In actual fact, the Alien's inner mouth would not be able to pierce the Predators mask, for starters, it's made of a special alloy that is not only acid resistant, but also strong enough to protect the face from the most powerful of blows.

I guess you right...but what of the Alien skin? Like how penetratable is it actually ...some of the humans had no difficulty piercing through the Queen Alien...

Alien's don't have skin, or flesh. It's an exoskeleton, like what spiders and scorpions have. It's made of Chitin, the same stuff as they create their hives out off, and while a bullet fired from a .45 handgun probably wont penetrate it, a sharp enough spear or wrist blade would be able to cut it. Although again, not with the ease shown in AVP, yet another of the many many flaws Anderson made.

Ah...I see. I like their tails though .

I voted though, i must point out in case it seems i sided with the Preds, for the Aliens, because they're my personal fav of the two.

my money would be on the aliens, but i have no money, so i don't know...

i mean arnie couldn't kill the predator, i mean it self destructed, but danny glover killed one of the things....

while all the aliens in the movies were killed by ripley, and several explosions....

hmmmmm....i'm undecided....
