Just a reminder to the US members that the "Children of Dune" mini-series starts tonight on the Sci-Fi channel. 'Dead Zone' fans need not worry, there's an encore immediately following the end of the first showing of the mini-series, so you can catch the first two hours without interruption.

umm Ok I am not impressed with this one

I rather enjoyed the mini-series. It was a little confusing at first, but after becoming acclimated to new faces and characters, I found the storyline engrossing and interesting. Not as visually spectacular as the original, but then the scenery was already familiar. I would recommend seeing it, especially for those who are fans of Dune

I was not a fan of DUNE. But I wanted to be up
to speed with it when the new mini-series premiered,
so I got a books-on-tape and finished just in time.
It was amazing to hear them talk about clones back
then (I believe it was written in the 60's?) Anyway,
now I'm 'listening' to Chapterhouse.
