Looks like they're getting frisky
There was a story i read about some farmer who had a huge snapping turtle in one of his ponds. It was said to be as large as a horse. I burrowed into the bank and was seldom seen in the water. One day the farmer decided to try and remove the turle via wrapping a rope around and trying to pull it out (can't remember wheather it was a tractor or horse). Apparently he manged to nearly get it out but it burrowed further into the bank and he said he has yet to spot it anymore.

Not exactly a mystery; but I remember back in the early 90s' there was a Sea Turtle hanging around under a bridge in southern Florida would would regularly try to mate with swimmers and divers. How's that for a vacation memory? "So, how was Florida?" "Well, I got raped by a Loggerhead Turtle; but the weather was fantastic!"

i used to have a rooster. he was the only one we had at the time, so he had never seen another chicken in his adult memory. his hormones and instincts were, apparently, a bit garbled. he attempted mating with all the shoes on our porch quite regularly.
