Hi, I'm new here, and have spent some time scrolling back through the many messages, observing your thoughts on the philosophy and physics of the paranormal. I should probably introduce myself; My name is Miles Pawling and I am 14 years old.
I was wondering if any of you actually have had, or at least believe you had, a close encounter of any kind. I for one believe I was abducted by Extraterristrials when I was 12. All I remember of it was being outside of my body during the night. I remember at one point looking down upon my body, and I also remember being very cold, as well as being surrounded by a bright light. The only way I can describe it, and this will sound weird, is like I was surrounded by light bulbs which were all on. I remember these few aspects but have no memory of where I was or who I was with.
Has anyone else had what they believed to be a close encounter?

What leads you to believe extraterrestrials were involved?

Sounds like OBE to me...but I may be wrong...
Once I was lost on a mountain trek close to night time and getting hungry and frustrated and seeing a group of cows I decided to ask them the way home just for a laugh. The two cows that moved from the herd turned and individually swang their heads towards the same path before returning to eating from the field. With nothing to lose I took the path they nodded to just to see the end result of my little joke...but it ended up being the right path of the possible three directions...so were those cows ET's or supercows....or cows controlled by remote by ET's or possesed by earth spirits???...I have no Idea, all I know is that I made it back to a plate of food and a warm bed so I thank those extra weird terrestrials called cows...

I have thought about OBE, however I'd like to think extraterrestrials were involved. I think somthing was with me that night. I'm not gonna go all spiritual on this; I never felt a presence, I just have a very strong feeling that I wasn't alone that night.

ET's only seek humans they see as interesting, usually those with above normal psychic potential or ability. If this is you, then your intuition will give you the most accurate answers. And probably there is web info out there to teach how to develope your intuition...I originally thought alien...but I wasn't there.

No. Four months after the incident I was struck by an odd memory of internal buzzing whilst watching my own body, however I suspect this was more a product of my own subconciouse than it was an experience.
I don't beleive I have any special abilaty. Apart from being possesing highly above average intellegence for my age, I am ordinary. I have been told that i'm slightly eccentric in my thinking, but that's only because no ones prepared to listen to what I have to say.
Zeus, I beleive at some times animals can become more than animals. It's obviouse they have they're own form of communication, possibbly telepathy, and whose to say they don't read our thoughts too?

Sounds like you had a heart attack while you were sleeping, but then came out of it. Either that, or it was a very simple and short childhood dream. I subscribe to the latter.

I'd have to say an OBE. You were probably going somewhere or looking for something.
Has anything different happened recently? Any changes in the way you live or where you have gone? Maybe that triggered this experience.
Well at first I thought something related to UFOs. If you were floating looking at an empty bed, then yes I'd say that you rather smoked a few bowls before you went to bed, or are being abducted. But seeing yourself would have to be in the soul. Or have the ability to see above your surroundings, which I do believe I'm capiable of. Hmm, Which I might start a topic about.

Dream (as if I was there) OBE
In 1960, I was living in Fort Wayne, Indiana and 8 years old. While sleeping in my bed, I found myself suddenly outside of my home hovering above the street we lived on. While hovering, there was what appeared to be a fog like substance around me that was swaying back and forth and around me, however, there was no fog anywhere - the sky was clear.
I could see an old truck coming down my street and a station wagon approaching a side street to my left. As I watched, I realized that the truck and the car were about to collide. I didn’t witness the collision because the next thing that happened was that I was suddenly in my basement where my dad was as he was on his ham radio. At that moment the collision occurred and he jumped out of his chair. The next thing I remember is “looking through his eyes” at two headlights coming toward our basement window. After that I awoke up in my bed from the noise from the collision and ran to tell my parents what I had just witnessed. I explained what I had just seen in my sleep as if I was there. My dad thought I was kooky and my mom said that things like this had happened to her also in the past. After just nicking our house next to the basement window, knocking down our garage, smashing my bicycle and crashing in an embankment on the back of our property the truck driver did not die but he did lose an ear. The station wagon occupants ended up on a lawn next to a house across the street from my house. They were both alive. Did you ever ask your parents to have them take you to a hypnotist? You might think about it. The light bulbs I would definitely question. Other then that it looks like an OBE. This dream goes along with some of what we talked about today in your mail. squweekie

I don't know Zeus, if he is 14 years old, his level of intelligence in his writing tells me that he would probably be right up their alley in respect to that query they appear to have about us and don't forget about the human bars...... thing.

Logic tells me it was OBE, however I still have a strong feeling that I wasn't alone and that haunts me to beleive that extra terrestrials were involved.
