Ummm... as far as I can see in most musical areas, most songs are about that sort of thing monkeymanz.....
I listen to a broad range.... and much of the music is inspired by emotions that come from love, or things associated with relationships and relationships problems....

I don't like to limit myself to genres but I do like jam-band and metal the best. Other than that I like everything besides some rap and some country/western.

whether you hate or ahte it or not you must realise that it is calle pop because it is short for pop-ular...which means many people do like it, and your opinion of pop stars as being sluts shows your lack of understanding that its stylists and managers that make them dress as such, the same way supermarket staff are made to dress in crappy uniforms...its all part of the job!

If given a choice I would rather listen to pop than rap.

what u have to remember is that eminem even tho he is a rapper would technically fall into the pop genre as well as he appears in the pop chart, so all those 'pop' haters must realise that its only a heading for what the most popular at the time!

Pop is what most would call "mainstream" a mixture of everything popular. I am not too particular to "mainstream" anything whether it be music, clothes or tv shows. I see a bunch of lemmings flocking to their pop-culture and shake my head. At least some of the music played on pop stations is tolerable. Outkast is the only rap artist I really dig all though they are not really rap either but kinda pop-like. Go figure, lol.

indeed. who cares what musicians are wearing, or if theyre sluts, or if they sing alot about a particular subject? i tell you, judge them on whether their music is good or not.

and before people start slagging off pop acts who do not write their own music, you have to remember that they are performers not writers, like elaine paige or micheal ball, both amazing performers yet dont write music....and i doubt andrew loyyd webber would ever get anywhere with his singing career even tho he is a master writer, so it depends what your looking for, well written songs by average bands or...well written songs, sung by good performers!

Dec 15 2004, 09:00 PM
i hate mostly everything mainstream....mainstream rap is the worst
i listen to mostly everything but Hiphop/Rap is a my best choice
Hiphop artists i listen too are:
Sage Francis, Atmosphere (Slug), Tupac, Biggie, Bone Thugs, Rza, Eyeda, Buck 65, Last Emperor, Spawn, Big Pun, Naughty by Nature and Eminem's old works...his new stuff is sh**
Those are artists who know the true meaning of Hiphop...
Those who listen to 50 cent, Gunit, the new snoop, ludicris, young buck, lloyd banks, lil flip, juvinile, any of the new no talent dirty south ppls...i can go on and on..basicly most of all of mainstream, rap now is garbage....for those who think rap or hiphop is a genre with no talent just listen to those i have labeled up there...then make your choice
