A couple of years ago I had this idea to write a book about all the people I would love to sit down and have a beer/drink with. Part of the book would consist of the reasons why I wanted to spend time with this person. The other part would be excerpts from the proverbial interview I would conduct given the chance to do so.
Obviously I never got to conduct these interviews but I thought it might be fun to discuss the subject with all of you. What do you think?
Here is a short list of mine:
1 George Lucas
2 Stephen King
3 Harriet Tubman (if she was alive)
4 Emily Bronte (same)
5 Jane Austin
6 H. G. Wells
Who would you like to meet to just sit down, have a bevy and discuss things?
Feel free to give reasons for your choices...

Ahhhhhh! Good answer! Feel free to add reasons why you would like to meet/drink with someone.
I shall edit my original post to add these parameters.

hmm
Newton - because it might be fun to see how dumb everyone else I know is compaired to the smartest man to have ever lived.
Vince McMahon - So I could kill him, and replace him with a reeducated clone that actually knew how to run his company.
Bush - as above
Bruce Lee - So I could insult him, and spend the rest of my life posing and saying "I got my jaw broken in a fight with Bruce Lee

"
No others spring to mind...although I'm sure I'll think of some later.

Hmmm...so many... i don't drink anymore, so in my case we'd have to settle for coffee...
I've been reading a lot about Albert Einstein as of late, I think he would have to make the list. I'd like to know what he was really like to be around and how his mind worked and was so far ahead of others in the field of physics...
Jesus if there was just one as was described in the bible. It would make for an interesting afternoon. I am a bit rusty on my Greek and Aramaic though...well I guess if he is the son of god he could manage to translate on his side...
Plato. The guy could make ya think...
Shakespeare; I'd like to ask if it really is all of his work or if he did have help form others...I'd like to be able to tell him that 400 years later his material is still changing peoples lives, I think he'd like to know.
Newton; How in the hell do you create calculus out of thin air? really, that is just over the top. I had to take the class twice, and the details had already been worked out by then...
Louis Armstrong; just to say thanks for his music and to listen to his stories.
My Navajo grandfather that died before I was born, to know what he was like.
My dog Duffy who is long since died, it would be fun to catch up on old times and play fetch for a while again.
George Custer; so I could plant my size 12 in his backside for being an evil person.
and the list goes on...

Question...
QUOTE
4. Avery Brooks
Is that the guy that played Sisko in DS9, or am I thinking of a completely different Avery....if so, he gets added to my list also, purely on the basis of being coold enough to pull of being bald.
He and Stone Cold have that one thing in common. Although I'm not sure I'd want to meet Stone Cold....for a start, he'd drink me under the table...and second, the conversation would be full of him replying "WHAT!?" to every question I asked....

Dec 10 2004, 11:16 AM
^yeah, that's Avery Brooks alright. I liked him in DS9, but I've liked him for so many other things he's done. He's a real cool and intelligent guy, and I'd love to meet him.

Wags has a rather severe case of psoriasis. The doctors think that it may be caused by his old fashioned dog sniffing/greeting rituals.

I think drinking a beer with Moe would be pretty cool.
Other than that... Jessica Alba, Sandra Bullock, and Mariah Carey can have all the beer around me they want... I'll get em another...
When I'm done with them I can go talk to Methuselah... bet Jesus would be a riot too...

You had best be warned. While it is true that a night on the town with the Sera One is an exciting and eventful experience, it can also be riddled with danger, due to my gang of miscreants.
Talon, for example, who will get so incredibly drunk, he will ramble on about politics, regardless of whether or not anyone is still at the table.
Shady, who will abstain from drinking, yet somehow ends up intoxicated by the end of the night anyway, and stagger around the town to find neds to fight.
Kuja, the group ned, who we keep around to remind ourselves how much smater we are, and for cheap comic relief, who we will wonder at the irony of him not only being an engineer at Rolls Royce win the IQ of a turnip, but also without any understanding of machinary whatsoever.
El Hombre (the Man), also known as El Jacko, who very nearly rivals my love of putting people in wrestling holds, and who's questionable secuality might lead him to attempting to drag other males of the group onto the dance floor, against their better judgement.
And finally, me, who will conclude the night by superplexing a randomly selected member of the entourage off of the bar.
If you believe yourself capable of enduring such a night, then you are all invited to bear witness to a night out hosting by yours truly...
Alternatively, we would stay in, be very quiet, and watch a rental movie.

Beer still sounds cool with me Sera...go on,admit it...you really are a nice person really.

Talon has reminded me to mention John, who I have yet to meet. This is an odd person, who once convinced Talon to sample his hair gel....in fact, he insisted on applying it himself, after intructing Talon to "get on your knees."
Talon did not do so.
Upon hearing this story, I was forced to ask the question..."Is this..'There's something about Mary' hair gel?"

Well there you have it, the merry band with whom you would drink: A raving politian, a naturally drunk fist fighter, a mechanically inept engineer, an individual who might be gay, and another who certainly is

All of whom are led by a minute but powerful matriach, who enjoys delivering wrestling moves to her underlings.
We shall unite with Team Cooper! Let us go forth, and show Paisley such a night as she be accounted a true epic tale of booze and mindless destruction!
