Well, what I can think of at this moment:

*You can only fold a piece of paper over on itself a total of 8 times. (Originally it was said to be 7 times, but my friends and I disproved it...)

* There are approximately 1 million ants per person on this earth.

*A common form of condoms (used since I believe pre 1000 AD, long before the production of safer alternatives) were made out of the intestines of livestock. (Don't ask me why I know that.)

*It is illegal for a protrait of a living person to appear on a US postage stamp

*Until the law was brought to light by a US politician trying to buy a cat for his child, it was illegal in his state to house both a cat and a dog.

*In one state (I believe in the southern US) it is illegal for a girl to ask a boy out on a date.

*The standard Chinese typewriter has 1,500 characters.

This is a fairly common misconception. Because of their independence (not as obedient as most dogs), they are often labeled as the dumbest breed. But not being as trainable does not make them less intelligent. They're actually pretty smart, and were breed to be very independent thinkers.

I just found out - Absolutely true....
