You? You'll be a noob forever. Internet protocol dictates that those who ask "How long will I be a noob for?" will be noobs forever.

To me, noobs are either newbies who haven't posted much or don't even know how to work some of the stuff, or people who are being purposely stupid.

Fine line between newbie and n00b.
Definition of a newbie:
A newbie is someone who is new to a particular concept, and learns from others who aren't newbies. He/she will make mistakes, but people will forgive him/her for these, as the person is new, and doesn't not know whats right and wrong. Like a babie. Once you have a grasp of the concept, you are no longer a newbie.
Definition of a n00b:
Someone who is familiar with the concept, however chooses to act in a manner that would make him/her look like a new person. Deliberately making mistakes/changing rules for own purposes. A n00b will always justify that it is not a n00b, by countering with a arguement along the lines of "but i've been doing this for years". The arguement will be irrelevent, as the n00b callers (those calling n00b a n00b), will counter with "act like it then". The n00b will continue the pathetic arguement, proving once again - it doesn't matter how long you've been doing it you can still act like a pratt when doing it.
Thats my explanation anyway.

Usage of the word "n00b" or other variations of it is a sign of an erectile disfunction.

How did you come to this conclusion - more importantly what does it have to do with the topic?

I thought that there was some guidlines somewhere stating that you are a noob until you have been a member for 100 days and have been posting somewhat regulary!
