These people in the story are so sure it's real even though they admit to the woman having a lit cigarrate in her hand. So do you think it was something really superenatural? I don't............smoke in the dark illimunated by a flash is very noticeable in pics because it's usually the lightest thing against a dark background.

People want to believe in paranormal events so badly that they actually ignore the obvious facts about the events.

omg they are idiots, before even seeing this thread, i saw the pic on the internet and immediatly thought cigarette smoke before even reading the article, i didnt even think ghost, i am a believer in the super natural but you have to be skeptic to truely believe

The smoke should dissipate quickly being in a open area as well. Also note that there was only one person smoking. If it were an enclosed area such as in a hotel room or small lounge the possibility of it being 'just the smoke' would be greater. Yet I'm inclined to agree with the believers...

Smoke, fog, it all produces the same thing...wispys that cause light to refract back to the camera. If this is a picture of a ghost or something supernatural, then every picture taken at a bar or club would be filled with "ghosts."

Sorry, but I have to disagree...to me, ectoplasm and smoke look like 2 different things on "film" and that looks like ectoplasm to me....its too thick and too bluish.....

How could one cigarette possibly make up that much smoke? Smoke is hotter than the averge air making it less dense, and would most likely rise up into the air.

Smoke most defiently not, unless blocked by roofing, would just float around like that. It is easily thought out as smoke because it 'looks' like smoke, but people are just to lazy to notice the properties of smoke, do not coorespond with the properties of the so called 'smoke' in the picture, which I may say would be ectoplasm.

Its probably smoke from the cigerette,it looks the same colour as cigerette smoke.
The photographer could be smoking or the woman could of been standing near the camera before the photo was taken!
They look drunk! Too much spirits of the liquid kind!

i think it is smoke from the cig....reason being..most cameras tend to expand whitened textures or colour when theres a bright amount of light on the area of the picture...the flash may have done this or the area around them may have been brightly lite...just a thought

well my father is smoker and when ever im around the smoke surrounds me, i always thought that smoke attracted to me as a small boy, i now know that that is not true, but i thought it was because it did always seem to come right to me

I'm not kidding here but one time I actually saw clouds that looked like the 'Starship Enterprise' and also one that looked like the 'Klingon Bird of Prey' very close to each other in the sky. This was about 7 years ago, I wish I'd had a camera with me, it would've been a very cool pic.

Re: the picture -- definately cigarette smoke. I smoke, I know what smoke looks like. Creepy faces? I have two creepy faces on the wood panelling on my bathroom wall. They've always been there and I have never had a feeling that evil spirits are watching me pee.

To put it a little milder -- you can see faces almost anywhere you look (wood, carpetting, reflections, smoke) if that is what you are looking for.

Yes it is smoke. Also if this pic were given to a professional paranormal investigator I'm sure they would automatically debunk this pic when they see the drunk woman with the cigarette in her right hand also not to mention the fact that the person taking the pic may even of had their own cig nearby (if they smoked that is)............
