First off, How has everyone been doing?

As you may have guessed, I have some questions that I'd liked to be answered.

1. What is the difference of a witch moving an object across a room and myself moving an object across the room using my mental "powers" (or strengths rather)?

2. What do YOU believe a ghost really is?

3. What do you think the meaning of this phrase is?
The religious can choose to live in God's light, or in God's shadow.

4. And lastly, doesn't anyone think this face is cute? blush.gif , or how about this one... happy.gif .... laugh.gif jk!

4. Who can tell me what they believe a soul is? or perhaps what you believe love is?

I dunno.. I just had a few questions a minute ago... suppose I lost track of what I was thinking.. anyways.. I'll think of more... yes.gif ... goodies! laugh.gif

oh wait!
5. Who believes with me that quote: foul :quote language is for the immature?

alright.. that's good for now... happy.gif

Insight

1. What is the difference of a witch moving an object across a room and myself moving an object across the room using my mental "powers" (or strengths rather)?
Nothing.

2. What do YOU believe a ghost really is?

A fallen angel.

3. What do you think the meaning of this phrase is?
The religious can choose to live in God's light, or in God's shadow.

One can either choose to follow God's teachings, or not.

4. Who can tell me what they believe a soul is?

A soul is the third part of the human being. Our three parts are as follows: Physical, Spiritual, and mental. A soul is an immortal facet of the human being that does not exist in the same realm as our physical bodies do, yet is still connected to it. The connection exists in the mind, IE the mental. Our mental state is a filter for our physical and spiritual. For example, of our emotions feel angry, we will actually manifest that feeling physically, like sweating or turning red. In contrast, our physical can manifest in our spiritual, like going through physical stress, and then becoming angry or depressed.

or perhaps what you believe love is?

Love is considering someone elses well being above you own. Pure love is doping this 100% regardless of anything.

5. Who believes with me that quote: foul :quote language is for the immature?

Nah, foul language is used by the immature to defend themselves, but it is not exclusively reserved for them.

Jesus_Freak
i second everything insight has just said... and i'm suprised you mentioned the fallen angel thing, insight. i was thinking about that a while back, and actually made a thread about it a long time ago. i thought i was all alone in thinking that...
Sirius147
1. Well whose stronger you or the witch?

2. A ghost, hm.. i need some proof they exsist, and if i get some proof than maybe i can see what a ghost really is.

3. Light--Shadow... Im guessing ones good and ones bad huh.gif

4. Soul... well i really havent thought much about "souls"... i'll look into that.

5. I dont quite understand the quote... Does it say foul language is for the immature? If it does, i dunno.

Well sry if i didnt answer most of these questions, but atleast i tried grin2.gif
by-product of evolution
Hi reader,

1- No difference! Both are impossible.

2- Ghosts are due to a problem in the picture, to a joke done to us or to an hallucination.

3- The religious can worship God or ignore Him.

4- a ) soul = brain activity
b ) love = a human need selected by evolution to protech the offsprings

5- Me.

Now reader, tell us what YOU think!

hmmm pretty big statements you made evolution... I kinda feel sorry for you. Its nice to believe in the un-seeable ( is that a word ? ) and the mysterious. Don't be so scientific! no.gif

Why not? I believe in both love and science!
Reader
Good job everybody! thumbsup.gif

laugh.gif Just Kidding.. but I'm happy that people have responded. Anyways...

Insight, I'm delighted to know that you did respond first... as I predicted you would. Facinating how that works, no? Lol... well, anyways, I liked your "A fallen angel" responce... seeming as you had stated in another post that you believed ghosts were demons... so.. does that mean a fallen angel= demon? I suppose I'm a little lost on that one. By the way... I laugh.gif really hard when you said that I had the only sane post.. or something of the sort.. that was fun. thumbsup.gif and I'm flattered blush.gif ...

Now... like Insight, I believe in the soul as he explained it.... as one-third of ourselves.. that's connected to us, but in an outside.. for lack of term.. realm. I was also facinated by the way you explained love: I only hope I find someone with the same expectance of affection as yourself.. wub.gif ...

Oh.. and lastly, Insight, that is what I meant.. that the Immature use it for defence... I miss typed it... (obviously)

Sirius147... I did not state that we were in the same room competeing on moving an object... I'm simply asking what is the difference between the two... for I lake the knowledge in witchcraft and Mental abilities.

by-product of evolution, You state "1- No difference! Both are impossible." This is not an answer I expected... but I'm glad to see it. I'd like to point out to you.. that when I had believed that there were ghosts.. when actually they were just immages of my imagination, I believed that they could move objects about the room. They could shift my math book and binder from one side of the table to the other.. for an example... Obviously they couldn't... so... what did... may I ask?

Oh.. and QueenoftheNight... to answer you question:
QUOTE

Still your imagination.
Reader
My imagination made my book and binder be on the left side of the table.. where I was working on the problems for school.. move to the right side of the table freaking my sister out because it was ontop of her stuff...

doubt that.

A animalistic instinct to:

A, Pro-create - to make sure only your genes are spread (much like when a new lion takes over the pride, and kills the offspring of the former leader).
B, Hold onto a mate, to deny another from spreading its genes.
C, Protection of off-spring, so that the family line is kept running.
D, Literally love is chemical messages sent to you brain, to make sure you do the above reasons, no matter what it takes (a bit like being drunk - you'll do anything).

You just said your imagination is responsible for you seeing ghosts. Maybe your imagination is responsible for you thinking your books and binders moved? Did you actually see it moving from one place to the other?

Reader
Yes. Doors slammed in the back of the house all the time when I was angry. And my pens and pincels shifted around the room all the time too.

happy.gif
Stellar
yes, you saw it happening right before your eyes?
joc
Do you take drugs Reader? Just curious.
Reader
No joc.. I don't take drugs... for that anyways... I used to take Advil. But that's as far as "drugs" got. And... Yes... Steller my sis and I saw things moving about the room.. myself thinking it was a ghost.. or multiple ghosts moving multiple objects.. so.. I told her that they were ghost(s).. and she accepted it.

But we know better know... I can't shift things anymore.. now that.. my brain doesn't have has much pressure as it did... Now that I think of it.. I kinda miss being able to move things... but.. It's not worth the pain.

happy.gif
Stellar
How do you know its you who moved it? Why do you not assume that maybe it was your sister?
Reader
I was the one who had Bronchitus for the past 6 years... The constant ear aches.. loosing both my hearing and eyesight.. and I was the one who could see, hear, feel... with the occasional smell them. How.. with soo much pressure on my body.. and nothing on her's.. could she have moved the objects? and Why isn't she able/doing it now? now that i'm getting better?

Hmm, actually, I'd like to know something before answering your question... did you feel tingling in your hands...?
Reader
My body would go numb... and my hands would do this thing... like.. they're double jointed.. so.. they would.. bend.. you know the tips of the fingers.. that first joint.. that would bind.. and they would stay like that for a long time.. took hot water to realx the muscles and stop it sometimes. But... tingling in my hands.... I don't recall.. I was too focused on other things.. like how they dressed.. their actions... and such to notice if my hands were tingling..

Yeah, you and me both. There seems to be a terrible underabundance of women in my town with the same opinions as me. All the girls want something, and few are willing to sacrifice anything to get it, let alone put another's desires above their own. I'm actually seriously starting to wonder where I am going to find a wife. I guess though being 22 gives me plenty of time. Not to pump myself up, but I do know that I'm good looking, I'm talented, responsible, ready for commitment, and willing to make sacrifices. And I am actually at a loss as where to find any woman who shares these traits in my town. I have also mentally prepared myself for the fact that I may have to become a "lone guman" so to speak. I believe I could become confortable living alone. However, I desire to have a wife, and start a family. I'd love to have a son and a daughter. *shrugs* Oh well, whatever will be will be.

We'll Insight the future depends on your actions. Hopefully you'll make the right ones if you would like all of that to come true.

A witch has maybe more of a physical presence as of you may have more of a mental presence or connection with things
2. What do YOU believe a ghost really is? I believe a ghost is a lost soul who sometimes needs to be shown the way so their soul may rest in peace.

3. What do you think the meaning of this phrase is?
The religious can choose to live in God's light, or in God's shadow. The meaning of this phrase means you can either truely love and accept God as your saviour or give no meaning to Him at all

4. And lastly, doesn't anyone think this face is cute?  blush.gif , or how about this one... happy.gif ....  laugh.gif jk! Cute?!

4. Who can tell me what they believe a soul is? or perhaps what you believe love is?  love is the connection between to human beings which at first glance (love at first sight) can sometimes tell the persons everything about themselves. I do believe it has a big connection with destiny.

I dunno.. I just had a few questions a minute ago... suppose I lost track of what I was thinking.. anyways.. I'll think of more...  yes.gif ... goodies! laugh.gif

5. Who believes with me that quote: foul :quote language is for the immature? well i can agree with you on that although it can be okay to use "foul" language in the appropriate manner. but i do have lots of friends that do swear quite alot!

Science and the soul. You can listen in Media player, real player or quicktime.

In the last century, the great philosophical battle between religion and science concerned evolutionary biology. In this century, Yale University psychologist Paul Bloom believes religion and science will struggle to agree on exactly what constitutes the human soul.

Many believe one's soul is separate from the physical body, permanent and indestructible. Bloom instead thinks that the soul's physical nature is starkly demonstrated in cases in which brain damage wipes out capacities as central to our humanity as memory, self-control and decision-making.

Hear psychologist Paul Bloom explain his theory on the existence and qualities of the human soul.

Thank you whoa182 for the links.

Thank you Reader519 for answering my question... and I don't believe I'm a romantic... I just believe that if someone puts someone else's intrests above their own, while haveing some affection towards that other person,... i'd consider that a wonderful relationship. I dunno how to explain it really.. but romance is the last thing on my mind.
