Okay firstly, i can say i am religious. im roman catholic, i mean believe in god and that jesus sacrificed his life for our sins. and nothing will ever change that.

But since we were given this mind, as a powerful tool, i cannot help to wonder, putting two and two together with all these mysteries of the universe into a thought.

What if, of all the worlds religions, hindu, christianity, muslims, buddist or which ever religion it may be, what if the gods of these religions are actually aliens from another planet. that back then, they came down to our planet to teach us how to live in peace and to differ the right from wrong, and that, they wanted to help us try to turn away from a devasting future of war and nuclear holocaust, into a peaceful and loving race.

i mean. in all religion it does state their saviour to descend from the skies of heaven. and our interpretation of our religion has always been human, ie. jesus, the prophet mohammed.. i mean, what if it is actually an alien race that took form as us humans to teach the knowledge they knew, and taught in the different cultures of the world back then to save us from our own existence?

now..

if our saviour return in the time of armageddon.. how ever much faith and devotion we have into our religion.. would we ever believe our saviour, is from another planet? in christianity.. it does state

"blessed are those who have not yet seen."

These issues have been around for quite a while, mostly because the pseudo-research work of Von Daniken. The theory that our "Gods", that is the God representation of historic and contemporary civilizations is an alien race, is understandably attractive, yet has some serious flaws. What would be the motives of an alien race to create this human-alien hybrid (allegedly taking the apes as raw material and passing their own intelligent to them)? Also, acknowledging the fact that an alien race with such grand level of technological advance (interstelar travel, biochemistry, genetics) could succeed in such a feat, it sounds bit unreasonable to think that it all went wrong in the end (according to Von Daniken, the fallen angel story is just a mutiny by members of the alien crew). Also, I fail to see why a creator alien race would not exploit their creations.

As for what you said about the heavens, there is a perfectly simply explanation for that. Heavens is what symbolizes the unknown, the eternal, the unattainable. Seeing it from human collective soul (Carl Jung would like that ) it's natural that humans "chose" their Gods to live in the sky..

Just a reminder, that if you mean that in the hebrew context, then you are wrong.

And 2nd if God were an alien and he told us what is good and bad and you should teach this through religion. THen religion has done a VERY bad job because millions have died over religous views, and 10' - 100's people die every week because of religious views.

I think that it is enirely reasonable argument that mabey our creator was an Alien. Mabey they had the technology, I mean just take a look at our science advancing over the past few days in biotech.

Or mabey we are aliens on our own planet and Life was brough to earth from an asteroid.

Who knows? But I think about these things all the time. I defeinitly believe that Humans are nothing special and very insignifacnt in terms of what els is out there. Mabey we are just the unlucky ones and evolved in a lonley part of the galaxy or universe, that would be a shame lol

Well,

Dont forget that GOD is always perfect, he has all the perfection characteristics.
And dont forget also, that there is just one GOD, because it is impossible to exist more than one GOD.... i think this is something all religions support...all religions believe in just one GOD ,,,, ALLAH,,,, Jesus ,,, Buddha,, Whatever.

In my point of view,, aliens are not perfect at all.... why ??!

because they live in the same universe that we live in ... so they have a Beginning and an End.

I will tell you my theory.

You know that there are many people are asking the same question which is: "Who created GOD??" or "GOD created everything, so who created GOD??"

Well, we muslims have a "Hadith" (a statement that prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said) which is: "the devil come to people and tell them GOD created everything, so who created GOD??!" ,,,, the devil tells us this because he want us to not believe in GOD.

So i have a theory on this... which is:

We human and any other being and the universe as a whole have Beginning and End,, and we all know (as theists) that GOD created the universe and everything in it.... the reason of our beginning (birth) and our end (death) will come from inside the universe and totally from the super reason which is GOD's will.
So, we have a Beginning and End because these Beginning and End are stronger than us ,, and then we know that GOD who is created that Beginning and End ,,,, Therefore ,, GOD is stronger than Beginning and End ,,,,,,,,

Therefore GOD dont have Beginning or End.

I know that this is not a religious thread but i mentioned all this here because i think it will help to know that Aliens are not GODs !

And that,, GOD,, lives out of our universe ,, in somewhere dont have a time or a place ,,,because he is in all places and all times ,,,because he is the creator of all places and all times.

I know that God is perfect, all loving and the source of all life and action
in the universe, but you cannot ask "Who created God" because God
being a spiritual being reached out and made a universe in which it is
possible to create. But the spiritual aspect of God cannot be reproduced.
However, we live in the physical world in which we are the products of
God. We are all sons of God therefore, it is't illogical that when the Bible
talks about the sons of God it means to say that the living beings on other planets. Its simple. If the Bible says that there are beings in the
sky, then its obvious. Christians should't treat aliens and UFOs like
hazardous waste that'll endanger you soul. Its just life.

My GOD is the thing that created the universe and the world's religions have been distorted by us. This is just such a hard topic to get the mind around and I have been on this journey for a long time now. Anyway you think about it, it comes down to faith in GOD,gods or science or all of the above.

i agree, i think some of our religious beliefs about gods and jesus and prophets are really based on visitations from a higher life form just as the aztecs thought whitemen were gods. higher technology can only be described as magic or divine force by those who don't understand it. i think aliens are just like humans in their quest to understand the nature of reality and why we are here. perhaps our common quest is why they are attracted to us. i see god as all encompassing and self enveloping - no beginning or end. we can't visualize god, only conceptualize it. we tend to form god in the image of man instead of the other way around like the bible says. because god is outside the constraints of time, everything is already determined in our reality. we think we have free will but really we are just playing out what god has intended to happen, is happening, and will happen. aliens have kind of duped is into believing that they are gods perhaps to help us along with our own spiritual evolution so that in turn, we may help each other get closer to the true nature of reality, scientifically and spiritually. science and religion are inseparable in that they both seek to find the truth behind everything. i think that mary was abducted hence the immaculate conception and that jesus was the first alien/human hybrid. it's kind of ironic that religion today is against stemcell research and cloning since that technology used by aliens created the arguably most important man in history - jesus.
ps. i was raised presbyterian, have read up on eastern philosophy, and now don't ascribe to any religion, just consider myself spiritual

If God is so perfect he must be the biggest comedian that lived, why? Look at his perfect creation and relection of himeself called humans and count the reasons why he took the piss.

I also believe that the creation called human is an add on from an earlier human model. Perhaps the earlier model was near perfect until the gods came down and argued then to war over the earth and the winners altered the dna of humans dumbing them down to the current level with only 2 dna strands and that ever so mysterious JUNK DNA.

Or, the owners of humans have yet to return and upgrade them with new addons for the continuing evolution if needed.

Or, humans are breeding and multiplying in a farm called earth and with ignorance as intelligence are finaly about to find out with the return of the farmers that their children are a very prized menu delacacy around the galaxies. But I prefer the story of the perfection of God created by the catholic mafia of old Rome. A perfect picture indeed.
