This just burns me up!
I spent $47 on some mesh style Christmas Lights for the shrubs in front of my house on Saturday. When I came home on Sunday night I noticed they were not lit and made a note to check them in the morning.
I went outside on Monday morning and discovered that the reason they were not on was because they were not there.
So, today I went back to the store and spent more money on more lights and put them back up on my shrubs. I spiced up the decorations a bit this time though. With th help of 500 twist-ties I made it so I won't even be able to take them down without wire-cutters.

Awww Girty that sucks!!!
I've never heard of anyone stealing Christmas lights before, I never even thought about it.
That's really too bad you had to spend that much money only to have them stolen.

I guess on Friday night they interviewed someone on the local news that had her lights stolen that day. Since then over 20 houses have been robbed of their decor.

Sorry to hear it Girty.
There was an elderly pensioner who just had all his xmas stuff stolen, lights, cut outs etc. A collection that had taken him years to put together, he use to raise money for the kids hospital with a donation bucket. No matter where you live there are idiots out there who never think or never care.

I pitty da foo' who tries to steal the new ones. They will have to take the shrubs too.
I did a dry run on them earlier and they are not coming down without destroying the lights.
I was thinking of a booby-trap I could put on them

....Anyone have any ideas?

Well, so far, so good. The twist-tie concept seems to be working as the lights are still lit and on the shrubs where they belong.
I would still like to booby-trap them so some sort of noise will go off if anyone tries to mess with them, like an air horn or something..
Anyone have any ideas? Any at all?
