That's right folks. The nominees for the annual Video Game Awards Game of the Year included Halo2, Half-Life 2, Need for Speed Underground 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 etc and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas took it! The people have spoken, Halo does not compare to GTA.
In addition to Game of the Year, GTASA also won best action game overall, best soundtrack and Samuel L. Jackson won best voice in a videogame.

SpikeTV's show was... interesting, if you like rap. A lot of other sources have started to release their GOTY lists as well. Gamespy has their's up, I think.

What i did watch was that Ultimate Gamer show. Man that one rules.

By far the best game this year and one of the best of all time, Halo 2 just doesn`t compare, my friend was completly let down by it and thought it completly sucked!

im glad SA won. although Halo 2 is an awsome game, SA is just better. ive only played through about the first 30 min of SA and ive played Halo for hours and i still think that it doesnt even compare. SA is a game that can almost never get old. i didnt watch the awards on Spike because they suck balls. its just filled with a bunch of crap that no one cares about, and then somewhere in between all that crap, they fit in the videogames. i watched it the first year it was on and it was ok, but it didnt live up to my standards. now the REAL OFFICIAL videogame awards are on G4 TV, a station i dont even have. ive seen a little bit of last years and its much better because it actualy focuses on the videogames instead of a bunch of rap and people who try to be funny but infact arent.
