Hey all!!!

Here's a question for you: What do you think is beyond the universe if it isn't endless?

I can't say for sure cause I have no idea what could be beyond it! Another universe maybe?

State your opinions. Thanks! original.gif ph34r.gif

There is no way anyone could even guess.

We haven't even made it to the end of our own solar system.

There is UNIMAGINABALE things out there! What lurks BEYOND the universe is probably beyond our capability to understand or catergorize.

wow

I think it is impossible to decide what is beyond the universe.

People can say,, there is nothing,, others could say ,,there are other universes... but no one will be 100% sure about what he/she said.

You know as "Mad Manfred" said ,, we didnt even reach and knew everything about our solar system!!

and dont 4get that the universe is still expanding plus that the human age is nothing in front of the age of universe ,,or even of the earth !!

so we will never know everything about our universe or even about our planet.

Cradle of Fish
Wookies. Wookies are what exist beyond the universe.

How do I know this?

I like Wookies, they are great.

i think that there are other planets and lifeforms out there beyond our universe. however, we don't know because we don't have the capabilities to find out. all we can do for the moment is make educated guesses or ponder like what we are doing now.

It upsets me that I shall probably never know. no.gif

current thinking is more universes, surrounded by large amounts of energy called the false vacuum

What is at the end of the universe. hmmm you can think about it for years and not get anywhere. I mean if you step out of the universe, you simply Dont exist anymore.

It depends if you think the universe is Expanding into something. Scientist think its just like blowing up a Football. Mabey we are just part of an endless amount of universe. mabey we are like an Atom in something bigger, then there is something bigger again.

It hurts my brain just to even think of the question. IS it just that humans are a total miracle and humans are self concious and aware and can ask these questions.

the universe is so **** strange that I dont think we will ever know everything.

Ive just bought 3 books about quantum mechanics, the universe... things like that grin2.gif looking forward to reading them

Well if the universe is always expanding..what is it expanding into..? i mean...say our universe is all there is...then how is it expanding..and if there is something beyond our universe..then whats happening to that while this expands? :S

The human mind is too feeble to even comprehend such things. I actually get frightened when I think about this subject. If the universe is infinite, then it's infinite. That is almost impossible to really comrehend in itself. If it's not infinite what is there? There is no possible way for anyone to EVER know that. You can quote me on this. WE WILL NEVER KNOW? wacko.gif

I agree...nothing to us is infinite....we can't comprehend it...we like to think so many things impossible don't we?

there is nothing outside of the unverse because you need a dimension for what ever it is out there to be in, and if there was a dimension for it to be in it would be part of our universe meaning there would be nothing out side of our universe because it needs a dimension, the universe is expanding into nothingness, of coarse it can expand into nothingness, because nothing is not there to stop it from doing so

this in my mind has to be true as to me it is the only thing that makes sense
The Drake
If there would be something out of the Universe i think it would be some kind of other dimension that is getting smaller each second because of the fact that the Universe gets bigger al the time. Dude, this acting smart stuff hurts my head geek.gif

there are other universes and galaxies out there it is a fact that has not been disprove yet. what we don't know is what resides within these other universes. if you think about what is out there, consider this: if you watch a film and it ends, the film ends but there is that excess white film that keeps going and that is not nothing it is excess film. this repeats in the universe and even keeps going on. example: universe follows universe follows let's say space and then white film. what i am repeadtly trying to explain is space has to be infinite. wacko.gif

I love reading about the universe. I've been reading up on the shape of the universe. The theory that has the most proponents now is that the universe is flat. They come up with these things by measuring the distance of microwaves hmm.gif uhhh... actually, I can't remember the details, only the results.

I sent in a question, when I read this, about perhaps the universe is so infinitely big that measuring the triangle that they were measuring would be like measuring a smaller triangle here on earth. There is no curvature because the triangle is too small. It all sounds to much like the flat earth theory.

I *like* to think that the universe is round. Spherical in shape. Except, unlike the earth, there is no "outside". If you somehow managed to go around the entire universe you would come back to the point where you started. You would think that you are traveling straight (like on earth) but you are in fact going in circles. tongue.gif You would eventually end up where you started, except you would be traveling through "space".

What is "space" anyway? wink2.gif

Oh, well, it makes sense to me and helps me sleep at night. grin2.gif

i find it hard to believe that the universe is in any shape but a sphear, as i tend to feel that the planets are shaped just how the universe is, if the universe is flat then the planets too would be flat, thats how i see it anyway
C-iscus
there can't be anything beyond the universe, because the universe means everything there is, so if theres something its part of the universe, i think such questions are impossible for the human mind to answer, but it is fun to try anyways
Yasha
Maybe it's like on futurama to all who've seen that episode lol tongue.gif

Well, my real belief is that the universe is whole, in a sense that universe meaning "all of existence". Withing the universe are many galaxies, we have already discovered through scientific research. I believe that the universe is a chain of stars and planets, with a sort of.. how to say.. If anyone has played super mario 2 on SNES or GBA, how you go one way across the screen, then come out on the other side? Somewhat like that...

My head hurts, I've been asking myself this question since grade 5 and I'm hurting myself here.
