Sry if there was already a topic like this. I'm really curious about this stuff. I wasn't born with powers, and I'm not sure if I even have them because I can't do the simplest stuff. Well anyway, the reason why I made this is because I've noticed that sooooo many people have these "natural gifts". Alot of posts say something like.. "Has this ever happened to you?" or "Strange things are happening to me!!"

it's micro-psychokinesis. it's an ability to psychokinetically affect random events, like a coin toss.

I beleive everyone is born with certain innate abilities. They are just either forgotten at an early age or blocked out entirely. In order to use them you have to learn them again. I was born with a gift for clairvoyance and healing. I haven't developed them much though.

I started to see aura's when I started going to church.

I was born with empathy and an ability to easily manipulate ki and psi.

everybody was born with these abilities they just don't know it or believe it, i think the ancient egyptians might have used them, meh it's just such a mystery

you can if you know exactly when it's going to be drawn, but even then it would be hard to win.

I believe that anyone can become psychic, but people who are 'gifted' or born with powers have a better start at it.

Isn't it amazing that we seem to have some of the most telented psychics in the world on our board? Each "born" with their own special abilities?

She has "x-ray vision", just like superman. *laughs* I was born with the ability to see through deluded children. And she is a deluded child. She actually believes that what she claims is true, so fully infact, that she defends it on every level she knows how (Which is only a few, much to her shugrin).

I truely wish I didn't see through people like her so easily so I could offer some semblence of support. But that's not how I am. I don't fall for things anymore, no matter how much honesty is behind them. People have the very real capacity to tell you things which they truely and honestly believe are true, without them actually being true. It's a curse on humanity really, but It's also part of free will, and the power of the mind. She doesn't yet understand anything in ragrds to the dynamics of what she is trying to do. She cannot describe the material aspects of her "abilities". ANyone who is actually gifted or skilled in a psionic ability will have extensive knowledge of the innerworking of the physical aspects of what they are doing, such as molecular vibration, energy wavelength, particle dynamics and functions, chemical reactions, and the transferrence of energy.

I think people misunderstood the poll's question. Was anyone born with SPECIAL powers? As in.. (PPAN's case) xray vision, aura sight, ect?

I have a special power, although I voted born without, I have kick-ass genes. Everyone in my immediate family is smart, everyone, has awesome ideas, I think we might have some brain disorder though, but what comes out of our moufs are good ideas.

I voted for born with powers. Precognition came naturally. So did xrv. Psi did too, but I didn't know what was happening when I felt it on my hands until I found out what psi was! With aura sight, I relized when I first started to practice it that I had been able to see the white outline around people for along time, even though I though it was just something that happened when your eyes get tired!!! But eventually I saw colors. Now I try to practice them all (including tk and ck) everyday. My cryokinesis is doing well, because I've been ablet o get a cup of lukewarm water cold, btu not frozen yet. And tk is good too, becuase I jsut basically use psi energy from my hands.

My advice to you Dustie is to not seek this out. Don't waste your time. If you notice something strange or supernatural happen to you, then by all means, go with it. But I kinda see this stuff as like a calling. When it starts happening, then you're ready to look for answers. But there's no point in searching for answers without knowing the question yet. You'll just get frustrated and disillusioned in the end.

I am as annoyed by talk of "powers" as Insight is by the words used to describe variations of kineses. It just sounds too "comic book", too much like X-men or Superman. It cheapens psionics and makes it sound juvenile.

I wasn't born with a "power". I wasn't zapping my mother in the womb with ek, or feeling my mom's pain as I was passing through her birth canal.

However, as I've grown, as my mind has developed and I have gained life experience, certain metaphysical abilities have manifested in me at various times and under various conditions, including precognition, clairvoyance, clairgustation, clairsentience, empathy, telepathy, OBEing, and electrokinesis.

To clarify what I was saying earlier, if in my teens I had gone seeking this stuff out and would have sat in my room trying to spin the psi wheel, or any of these other exercises you guys have posted, I bet I would have gotten nowhere. This stuff doesn't NEED to be practiced. If you can do it once, you can do it again when you need to. And if nothing's naturally happened to you yet, if you've never experienced anything psionic, well maybe you're not ready to yet. Or maybe you're not meant to at all.

I have a few natural powers, i can see the human soul as the body walks around. It flows from their skin like a light grey aura. Some more then others.

I also have strange features about me, cold hands, double jointed but thats not a power.

I also have the natural power of knowing about how ghosts thrive and stay. If i see a ghost in person i could almost tell their story without reaserch. Thats why i am on this sight to test out my theories. ^^

But what scares me is i was almost killed by a ghost before. That wasn't fun. I hate ghosts...

My friends house is haunted by a few ghosts. I went over to play with her in the basement. We were playing fuse ball... or what ever you call it, when something under the table wrapped there chilling hands around my ankles! they pulled my under. If i didn't catch my balance by accidently knocking over a lamp i would have hit my head on concrete... I saw a horrifying old women with long black hair and grey skin under the table...

I've watched many shows on your type. Supposedly, you are more sensitive to ghosts and ghosts are more sensitive to you. To ghosts, you are like a beacon of light, they notice you, you stand out. That's why ghosts seem to pick on you!

Wanna hear something else thats kewl, my friends say i'm a werewolf because when i was little my best friend was the moon, i always talked to it, i forget if it ever responded though. Oh and i have werewolf like hands my fingers are double jointed and always curled ready to attack. or maybe i am just weird. I even have a cresent moon shaped birth mark on my knee.

One day my friends mom was getting realy ticked off at the so called ghosts. (beleive me there is something realy horrible worste then a ghost in their basement.) So her mom takes a micro phone thing and puts it against the heater to hear anything that goes on down there. She heard a satanic voice say, "Their upstairs" In a wisper.

How can you tell if you have any powers yourself? I mean sometimes I dream stuff or think stuff and it sometimes happens but isnt that just like luck or deja-view?

Yes deja vu, everyone has that... as normal as it gets. lol. I hate dreams, ever since i was 7 i died at the end of all my dreams in different ways, falling, drowning, getting shot, got mugged by the jokers henchman from batman...

deja vu is usually when you had a precognative dream about a place and then forgot about the dream!

Man that sucks always dying at the end of your dreams! mine are always i'm going somewhere and i can never really get there thoe.

I am always saving someone in my dreams... if its my best friends or a kuribo from yugioh (dont ask). I love the insanity of my world.
