Love, Peace, Happiness and Health.

My wife and I moved in to her parents house, both of whom past away. Her father of heart failure , sitting in a chair in the front lawn. Mother from cancer. Any way shortly after moving in I got a promotion that required I work nights in a near by town. 12 HR. shifts - 2 night on -2 off.
One night my wife got up to go to the bathroom and thought she saw me sitting on my side of the bed. No lights on, but a street light on a half a block away was enough to see. She asked if I was having trouble sleeping, but no reply. So she left the room to go (you know) and while sitting there remembered I was at work. She went back to the bed room cautiously, but there was now one there.
Months later on my son was going to the same bathroom in the dark, brushed past his Grandpa, said " excuse me Grandpa " and realized on the way to bed that he had been to Grandpa's funeral months before.
Now I have never seen him or my mother in law, who's been sighted also by people who didn't know her, but I know that the bed used to shack sometimes until I turned on the History Channel on TV.
Any way me and my family has never felt fear at these visits. Just the in laws checking up on us. I know this is not the same as your event, but it my be some one who thinks the house is theirs, even if they are dead. If it happens again talk out loud to them, and ask to be left alone. Some say it helps.

In folklore, hag-ridden is the term for what you experienced. Mental health "professionals" define it as a form of sleep paralysis. In some instances, it has also been attributed to an incubus attack. Actually, it is quite common and has never been satisfactorily explained.

I want to tell you all that I have had this experience myself. It happened to me several years back. My husband and I gone to bed and were watching TV. After a while my Husband fell asleep. So I watched some more and then decided to turn out the lights and listen to the radio. I suddenly felt something beside me. I turned to see if someone had come into the room. it was then to my horror that I saw a shadow like entity moving closer to me. It's appearance looked like it was rapped in a death shroud. Like I was looking at the angel of death. I tried to scream out for help only to realize I couldn't make a sound, I couldn't even breath. I tried to get up to wake up my husband, but not only could I not scream or breath. I couldn't move. I was paralyzed. I felt the presents moving closer and closer to me taking with it my life's breath. I was sooo torn up from panic. I knew I was going to die.. My heart was like pounding hammer in my chest from lack of oxygen. I started to ask God to please help me. It was then that I was able to move my foot and touch my husband. No sooner had this happened I was able to sit up and take a deep breath and scream. When I looked back beside my bed the was gone. My Husband awoke with a look of shock on his face. I then began to cry out of relief that I could breath and move and that the horrible thing was gone. I told him what had happen to me. He said I was fine and that it was just a nightmare. I've even been told by others that I was dreaming or had sleep paralysis. I'm still not sure what to believe happened to me. Because when this had happened to me I was awake. My rational mind tells me to think that ahh you where just having sleep paralysis. But in my heart I feel it was real. I pray that this never happens to anyone else again. It was the most terrifying thing that has happen to me.. Love, Peace, Happiness and Health. ( Minister of Emotions )
