Full Version: The Bible Game

Wings of Selkhet
In the spirit of promoting religious tolerance, I say we have here in the Spirituality and Skepticism forum a bible game! Every poster is to answer and ask a moderately difficult trivia question from the King James Version of the bible. As I myself am not Christian, I encourage everyone of all religions to participate. I don't have any prizes, unfortunately...anyway, you get one point for each correct answer. I'll keep track of the points and update them whenever requested. Good luck!

Q: Who renewed the decree of Cyrus to rebuild the temple of Jerusalem?

That would be Tony "the Thumb" Rotelli. He's a Teamster contractor over in Brooklyn.

Hey hey hey now, we gotta keep some order. Sirius, if you want to ask a valid question, you first have to answer mine correctly. And no offensive or sarcastic questions!

Wow, you start a 'bible game' and later state that no-one can answer with sarcastic remarks?

I can smell a potential flame war is brewing...

I think I can hear the chains being pulled from the shelves.

I guess no one wants to play my game. *sigh* Well, I tried!

In answer to the question:
"The letters Ezra 4 complain that the Jews were rebuilding not the temple but the wall. The long chronology says that under Darius the temple was rebuilt, but that when the Jews began to rebuild the wall, stiff opposition arose against them. In the days of Xerxes (son of Darius) and in the days of Artaxerxes Longimanus they were prevented from rebuilding the wall. Finally, Nehemiah obtained permission to rebuild the wall, in the 20th year of Artaxerxes Longimanus."

this is from this link... http://www.biblicalhorizons.com/ch/ch3_05.htm

So... the answer is Nehemiah. So I guess this means I get to ask the next question. Lemme see here... I'll get back to you on that one;)

There were quite a few prophets that were Anti-Babylon... All claiming its destruction and fall from its corruption and its ignorance to God.

What kind of a tree did Jesus get mad at and scold?
