Here's a puzzle.
If Ufo's are indeed alien craft, and their purpose in coming here is not just to have a quick gander at us less developed species, but to abduct the odd one or two in order to hybridize or experiment or whatever, why don't they abduct sailors?
I know that there are hundreds of missing planes and ships, and thousands of sightings over water, but, if you wanted to abduct someone with the minimum of fuss and disturbance, pinching a ship full of sailors is a little easier than nipping into someone's apartment in upper Manhattan at eleven at night etc.
If I were an alien hellbent on nabbing someone, I'd go for the remotest spot possible. Out to sea.
Or is it more of a pride thing? You know, we CAN get you anywhere, and just to show you....

Good Point, I was just thinking about the same thing, but there were also many abductions that happend in the middle of nowhere, in forrests, desserts. But the cases in cities...maybe the UFOs want someone with special things in their gens that we can't find.

Haha! Yea, they might be looking for ppl with special powers or something. Everymorning I wake up and wonder if I was ever abducted... Cuz I heared they make you forget about the abduction. Which I think is a good thing or else I will be scared to be alone or go to sleep ever again!!!

Hey why don't we make a "make fun of Michael Jackson" poll or something.(not that I care) but when I joined the UM forum I thought that this would be something more than a joke forum(not that I don't like jokes) but sometimes the topics go very out of track and I spend my time reading so much bul....., it's annoying. 
As for the "UFOs above water" thing, there are many reported sightings of UFOs taking water from oceans and seas. Maybe they need it to cool off something , or maybe they need it to stay alive.
UFO's not only go over water, but under the water too. I saw in a documentary that a UFO crashed into a bay before, then it dissappeared. Not very surprising, but its a first.

Maybe they don't really like water much so they tend to stay away from it.

I saw that story too. I also heard that it went down in the bay and made it down the coast where a us naval base detected it then it vanished.

Sorry Guy! From the most REMOTE places to cities like PHOENIX Arizona -- these things have been seen -- now more readily by masses!
I am inclined to believe that our OWN GOVERNMENT wants us to believe that what we see is ALIEN -- but a recognition (never-the-less) of our own REVERSE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY -- scaled to the public to CONFUSE US!!!

But it still remains -- there is NO PLACE where these objects have NOT been seen -- even from the US NAVY REPORTED DEPTHS of our oceans!! OK?
Even from my former Soviet Navy friends -- their "Nukes" have also tracked these UUFO's (Underwater UFO's) through the depths into the abyssal trenches.
Put a pin on EVERY SIGHTING WORLDWIDE and you will find that it is NOT limited to the remote back parts of TIMBUKTU!!
On the other hand ... it is STILL ASKED .... WHY??
SAILORS? My Gosh!!! How many "LOST at sea" from 'unknown circumstances' -- check the records Buddy! US Navy reports of mysterious ... er ah ... circumstances REMAIN CLASSIFIED. IF you do not or can not get into the archives of the NUMEROUS DOCUMENTED CASES of sailors (and soldiers) disappearing -- that DOES NOT DISQUALIFY that something mysterious is just limited to the CIVILIAN populous!!
Incidents at sea are far MORE NUMEROUS than I would like to say!!

Pass me a cup Pal! [Make it ESPRESSO!] That thing that "went down" into that harbor is now passe -- but we have yet to find anything even remotely "unusual"!! There remains questions still .. and amidst all the confusing "smoke screens" it is hard to make any sense of even this. There is nothing incredible with the witnesses .. yet .. it has been swiftly swepted from Media scrutiny. The "WHY" I am no longer even interested to ask!
Sigh! Guess I will shed my garments and call it a night!!
Again -- it IS hard to be objective when things that DON'T MAKE SENSE appear to confuse logical thinking -- but appear albeit far too many times!
