In America we have a Social Security Number. Try giving it back to the government. You can't. It is YOUR number. You can't buy or sell or work without it.....so:
What is YOUR number? Specifically, in other countries do you all have a similar number to the social security number we have here in the USA?
I think it is interesting that in Revelations it speaks of every person in the world having the 'number' or the 'mark' of the beast...and yet everyone says, 'Oh, well I would never take the number'. Is it possible that the case is that you and I already have?
Do You have a number that you cannot get rid of? A 'Mandated by the Government' number?
Please do NOT post your Social Security Number or any other such number.

Revelations, yes. It certainly shows mind altering drugs were being used. I wonder if the writer ever thought his rants would spawn people like Ken Parsons and that his acid trip would become others meal tickets.

Well yeah, in Hong Kong everyone has an ID card and it is illegal not to carry it around. But for me what matters more is my mobile number, if changed I will lost many old acquaintances.

Has your government issued you a number that you cannot give back?

I have both Canadian social insurance Card

(S.I.N. Number) and UK National Insurance card.
It probably is a prelude to the mark of the beast. As revelation clearly states that the mark will either be on the hand or head. However with new tecnology how long will it be before it is a chip inserted under the skin?

well, anyone can assign me a number and I can't do a thing about it. SS# I can get rid of. Difficult but I think it can be done... have heard of it with immigrants, people who get their identity stolen and people who change their identity for whatever reason. But I could say "Joc is now #243." and to me you could be forever #243 and there's nothing anyone could do about it... so I guess it could happen that I have a number I can't get rid of, but I don't know about it.... Oh! My Birthday!!... I can't get rid of 7775 as my birthday... that one's pretty set.

my SSN and i technically can change my zipcode and address if i move but i really can't ask the government to change it... this would mess up the postal service if i lived in lets say zipcode 99999 and i was the only guy with 11111 on the block:tu:

Yeah we have the SIN, which is identical to the SSN, it's just insurance instead of security.

For some reason. Need it for work, getting paid, etc etc.
We also have health cards, which are technically not numbers, but every canadian and resident in canada carries one and it entitles us all to free healthcare anytime anywhere in canada.

Oh wait, did I mention that it was easy and that everyone does it all the time?
Some people squirt milk out their eyes.
But I must agree, even if I changed my identity, I was still born 7775... I can put whatever I want on the paper but fact is I ripped my way out on 7775.

According to the Hebrew Alphabet, every letter is assigned a number, so actually by having a NAME all of us essentially have a number, it might be that this number (associated with the name) is the actual mark of the beast referred to in Revelations. Wonder what my number is then....I'll look it up
Edit... found this site:
Check this out about hebrew letters...Another one...ERikl... I need your help. I wanna know what my name translates to in Hebrew... its Elizabeth!

Yes, we have a number here, a Tax File number (there is a Social Secrity number too but not everyone has one). You can't work or earn money without it now that GST came in a few years back. Before you could earn 'black money' that being a job which doens't go down in tax. Now, you can't. Every cent you earn needs that TFN. You also obviously can't get any kind of credit without this number, and it is used as a means of identification.
On top of that voting has always been mandatory here, you just can't chose whether you want to vote or not, as soon as you're 18 you have to vote, so, that also records your name with a number.
Everything you buy or sell also needs GST added, which again goes back to the same thing.
ID cards also have numbers on them and without I.D. you can't do anything. It's either a driver's licence or an I.D. card both issued at the same place, and you need one or the other for identification.

In Sweden, each person has their own, unique personal number.
The first 6 numbers states the date of birth. The two next ones shows where I was born, somehow... Not really sure on that one, since there has to be more than 99 places to be born, right?
The second last one shows the gender, and how many of the same gender was born at the same place before me that day. So let's say I was the second boy delivered there that day, I get the number 3, which I did.
The last one is a control number, to see if all the other numbers are correct. Pretty useless, as it's easy to find out what the number is gonna be.
So, my full number is 830805-xx3x
Won't give out all of it though

The number 666 is a 'sequential' number; in every invoice, in every checkbook, in every 'sequence' of numbers of 1000, there is found 666. This number, 666, is only relevant in that regard. It identifies the 'era', the 'time of man', when numbers control the lives of man. When every man woman and child is numbered. Have you ever read 1984 by George Orwell? It explains the ins and outs of living in a society where government controls 'everything', even what people believe.....
....step back and take a look at the whole of mankind...where are we headed, what are we doing....
....it is easy to get bogged down in the details of Revelations....one doesn't have to in order to gain a perspective of the kind of world he is refering to....

It could be possible to be born in seclusion and live in some jungle in Brazil and never ever get a SSN or identity card or something and survive in a very unmodern and basic life...but I believe that once you get one, you are stuck with it. In the instances where identity theft or identity change...Identity theft-you are just using someone else's "numbers" to do things that wouldn't immediately trace to yourself, although common sense would assume that you have "numbers" of your own, and in identity change, you just get issued "new numbers" and the old ones I don't believe get discarded...just put away....
I have never heard of a case where someone with an identity change had their old SSNs used by someone else.
Anyways, there is not much that can be done LEGALLY to remove yourself from this system once you are in...and this isn't really the first time that this idea has come across me.
There are a couple other variations, about the chip implants-"the mark will be placed on their heads or hands"...where these are eye scans or the fingerprint...or the chip itself...who knows...
But to actually try to avoid getting these numbers tagged to your life...,I dont know...because in my personal experience, the SSN application is one of the first things the nurse does once you give birth to a child.

The actual question is What number do you have that you CAN'T give back. Everyone who drives has a drivers license number but you don't have to drive. You can cancel your credit card numbers. It really pains me that I have been issued a number by my government that I can't cancel.
Don't think it matters? Consider the speed in which GPS technology is advancing. In ten years the government will be able to tell not only who you are but WHERE you are. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but this does greatly concern me. Does it concern you?
The main reason for the question is because I am interested in knowing how many other governments issue non-returnable numbers to their populace.

In Canada besides your SIN you have your birth certificate registration number. This is another number you can't give back.
