Think about the world now and take a good guess.
Canadian Rottweiler
Dunno,i guess it's possible...
BurnSide
If it'll ever happen, it'll probably be within the next 4 years.
MonkeyMan
I keep on thinking it's gonna happen soon. Damn if only al gore won the florida count.
4dplane
It doesn't have to happen; maybe Bush will do the right thing and kill himself instead of killing all of us. On second thought, were dead! crying.gif
Novo
Well, I see north korea and Iran as the big threats. There both big, powerful nations. And if we attack one then theres going to be nuclear armaments used.
pallidin
Um... I think we are in WWW3 right now.
The Drake
I sure hope Belgium is a safe place. I don't care if they blow up Amerika grin2.gif (just kidding, ya know, i love your country). I don't think there will be a WWIII in the 4 next years because i think everything is starting to look better and brighter. I think that Bush finally learned is lesson and that we will send back the soldiers to their wives, children and familly. And that the War wil be forgotten in history as a mistake by the worst president ever.

Ack, stop making these threads! Actually, on the other hand, keep making these threads, but keep answering no! Stuff like this worries me when I'm about 1 or 2 weeks from giving my final signature that I'm joining the Canadian Reserves! laugh.gif

(Oh and btw, not good seeing the DDay scene from Saving Private Ryan at a rememberance day presentation at school on the day I was gonna hand in my application... oooh boy...)

what are you worried about. Canada never kisses America's arse.
I'm joining the full time army at the end of January i we have a prime minister that keeps on kissing America's arse
AztecInca
^Lol!
Good luck Dowdy!

WW3, it is possible but I would doubt it, the cost and loss of life would just be too great, but then again that doesn`t seem to stop world leaders!
RaginCajun
no way!!!! WWIII will not happen anytime soon...at this rate we'll just wait for N.Korea's leader to die of old age and maybe Bush will actually stop invading Iraq... grin2.gif you know these "terrorist" do have the right to attack Coalition forces...why...^^^^we invaded thier country.

We go over there and rescue them from under the heel of saddam and all they can do is attack us. I didn't know that the iraqis where all just so upset when we took saddam out. God if they love him that much let him go. So they can all live happly ever after.
RaginCajun
the reason why an american would say that is because to americans we think that what we do here is right for them. truth is they are totally differnt culture and really don't care about what we will do for them. we think we know what is right for them and the rest of the world. helloooo....not everyone is alike...

but point is there will be no WWIII.
Lochness_hunter
Now i know that your not telling me that the iraqis liked saddam. What many people don't relize is in iraq only about 1or2% of the population doesn't want us over there. And those are bathest and islamic extrimist.

If people could only see the real iraq. Not the one controlled be the media. I mean how many of you heard about the flood of refugees into iraq? How many of yall heard about the schools, clinics, and businesses opening all across iraq? The iraqi currency is at it's highest level ever. And why did all of this happen? One simple reason we got rid of saddam.

WW3 might happen, but i doubt it would be in 4 years.
RaginCajun

i agree with you no WWIII in 4 years.. original.gif

I was (and still am) planning on joining full time after highschool... although as a pilot and not as a soldier.

Reason I put up this thread. original.gif I just joined the American Army.

Wow so many soldiers here lately tongue.gif.
Well folks, I'll be drafted to our own military soon.

Didn't think though that there would be so many soldiers here on this board huh.gif.
wunarmdscissor
to be fair , whats happenin in asia at the moment puts these threads to shame in my opinion.

We sit here and squabble over daft topics that arent even happening instead of doin somethin about real problems.

If we focussed our attention and will power on things like this then maybe we wouldnt be worrying about WW3.

I include myself in that rant BTW.
beowulf
Quite simply, the Chinese aren't in a position to launch WWIII for the next 6 or 7 years, after than - Katie bar the door! N. Korea and Iran are not worries for us, just their close neighbors! tongue.gif
Homer
I think the question isn't specific enough.
The word war should be defined better, as some forms of warfare has changed recently, and how large does the war have to be for a world war?

For example, there is an ongoing war on terror involving several nations, but due to the lack of ships/aircraft/tanks etc, this might not be considered a world war by some people's definition.
ABOTU
Yes Definently. With the shape the world is in now *shakes head* I'm almost positive.
Erikl
I know it's going to sound totally out there, but I think Japan will have an important role in it tongue.gif.

I know what ya'll think: "Japan? huh.gif Is he mad??? blink.gif", but I think the next war will start in two arenas, the middle-east and the far east.
The far east is getting more and more important, and it's nations more and more determined to play dominant part in global affairs.
India vs. Pakistan\China, China vs. Taiwan, North vs. South Koreas, Malasyia\Indonesia vs. Singapore, Japan vs. the countries they comitted war crimes back in WW2 (China, Korea).
Two much bad blood between all those countries.
In amid all that, there is the fact that 100% of Japan's natural resources are imported, with 88% of it's oil comming from the Middle East (and by that tops every other country, even the US and the EU).
Japan also feels threatened by North Korea, and is hated by most of it's neighbors.
Japan is a super power without a military.
It has one of the strongest economies in the world.
It has a huge population (130 million).
It's living standards are one of the highest in the world.
It is third, after the US and France, in usage of nuclear reactors as power source.
The Japanese Yen is the third most common reserve money around the world (after the US$ and the Euro).

Japan already debates the possibility to alter it's constitution to allow it to have nuclear weapons. In such case, it will become a nuclear power in weeks, not months.
Japan also has huge interest in whatever happans in the Middle-East.
In case it's oild supply will be distrupted, it's reaction might even become military one.

So, IMHO, the next war won't start in Europe or the US, but in the middle east and east asia, with those two campaigns interconnected.
Sinisa
I dont think there will be another world war soon, but i think there is gonna be a new Cold War between USA,EU and China. The EU is starting 2 take its distance from USA they already asked for all US pece keeping soldiers 2 leave Europe within the next 2 years..France and Germany are having a lot 2 do with this and Russia is joining them 2, it wont be long till Russia joins the EU. I dont know wats gonna happen with UK but there gonna get stuck inbetween USA and EU. huh.gif
