Full Version: Eye colour change?

Don't have much time, so i'll make it brief.

I am fifteen years of age, and in those fifteen years my eye colour has changed three times. Just recently i nearly created a psi ball on my fourth attempt at any psychic stuff (don't mean to offend you guys, but i have no other name for it wink2.gif )

Could the two be connected somehow? Like if i saw someone with incredible green eyes, and i wished i had green eyes over an extended period of time, could one subliminally change the pigments in the iris, or are my eyes really superintelligent extraterrestrials who hide as eyes? blink.gif

Actually, it is physically impossible to change the color of your eyes. That color is set in stone the moment the first cell in the uterus splits for the first time. A person's eyes can become lighter or darker in very slight shades due to illness. I'm sorry, but there is no possible way that your eyes have changed color. Unless you have come out of a life threatening illness.

By the way, how come you didn't list the color your eyes supposedly changed?

And how come your parents didn't take you to a doctor when they noticed your eyes changing color.

Gimme a break kid.
Syaoransbear
My eyes flip from green to blue regularly (except for the large brown birthmark in my right iris, that always stays the same color) . But I'm pretty sure thats from the light, and what clothes I happen to be wearing to bring out certain colors in my eye. And emotions.

Eye's usually change with age, but it's probably easier just to buy colored contacts than sit there all day wishing for different colored eyes.

Hmm, I was just researching this 3 days ago....
YBC
My eyes as far as i have known have always been blue, but one night when i was out with a friend they said something about my eyes bein green huh.gif and i was confused, but later on my eyes were back to blue.

i just thought it was differant shades of the same colour but who knows tongue.gif
Insight
Eyes can appear a different shade due to lighting conditions, and the observer's visual capacity. It's basically an optical illusion.

Here is a good example of what I am talking about:
[attachmentid=9885]

There actually only three colors in this picture: Green, white, and red. However, it appears there are two different shades of red. This is only an optical illusion.

Looks pretty convicing though, doesn't it?
Boli_Delish
well, to answer your questions, my eyes went from blue to brown to green, and never changed back. MY parents never sent me to a doctor because it was a gradual process, and if i had a life-threatening illness, well then thats the first ive heard about it.

Dezmond
I once had that my eye colour changed. But it was really wierd.
I had some wierd premonition, were my eye colour changed almost grey.

But that optical illusion thing is true. My eye colour is like a mix of light blew/dark green/light brown.
And when i wear different colours of cloths, my eye colour looks a little different.
That is what i think optical illusion.
psychicpowersarenice
You could change the color of your eyes with biokinesis.

You all are lucky... My eyes are dark brown, everyday, all day. I want green eyes! sad.gif

Actually, my eyes got a bit greener in high school. They used to just be brown, but now they're brown with green. In fact, around the time I started noticing it, I never mentioned it to anybody. Then one day while in basketball practice, one of my friends starts staring at me, then says "Hey, are your eyes turning green?"

I don't have an answer for you Boli, but I guess I've had a similar if not as dramatic experience as you. So I believe ya!

Do you have pictures of yourself at various ages that you could post so we could see what you're talking about?

Ya I'm stuck with them too disgust.gif

But I heard somewhere (probably my semi-dillusional grandmother, poor her sad.gif ) That certain people have "special" eyes that change colour. And Insight, don't babies usually come out with blue eyes? Then after the first few months they change? I remember this cause my mom said that when my lil brother (turns 4 on jan29) was born. (I came out with brown all my life, and my little brother is blue all his life)

But, I guess I should experiment with the NEW baby that is coming out sometime in june.
Hotoke
i doubt this is possible. would be cool though to get rid of my black eyes
Yasha
ME WANT BLACK!!! ME WANT BLACK!!! Or white.. one of those...

My friend has brown but he insists they're black, same with his red hair that's actually orange.
QueenoftheNight
I came out with pitch black eyes as a baby... my mom thought I was possessed. I was really long and skinny with long limbs and black hair. Ugly little thing
Nordic_Dragon
my former best friend had a hectic growth spurt when she was about 12...her shoe size went from 5 to 7, her hair grew about 15-20cm, she herself grew another 12cm and her eyes changed from BROWN to GREEN in just 5 months!!!!!

I had pure white hair and my eyes were greenish-brown. Now my hair is a dirty blonde and my eyes are a bit darker with brown.

You can also use "Biokinesis" to live forever, stay "up" all night wink2.gif , cure any disease, grow a sixth finger, stop your hair from growing, make you not have to eat anything, give you superhuman strength, and make your bowl movements smell like freshy baked cinnamon rolls.

That last one is my favorite.

By staying "up" all night.. I don't like to think where that is going...

Cure cancer! There's a use. Wait, doesn't someone here say it makes cancer?

You watch family guy too much Insight. Oh, wait.. So do I.
jacob
It would only cuse cancer in peole using it improperly.

I'm very lucky! I have one eye one colour and one the other. One is a VERY deep grey, and the other is green with a slight yellow ring around the pupil. I've researched this ring to discover nearly EVREY person with green eyes has it, you just have to look carefully.

W00t my eyes are dark brown too, I recently thought it would be pimpin for me to have green eyes too, I have no real response for this topic rofl, everything has been said on both sides. Well if you think your eye color has changed, then it has, even if it didn't does it really matter? its just eye color, maybe your just a alien. Check if you have a tail please:P im in a very nonserious mood today.

PS I have familyguywatchingkinesis,x-ray, y-ray, AND z-ray vision, I control the weather, and I can learn any psionic ability inside of a month just by pratcicing 10 minutes a day. Also, I have a lovely bridge for sale in the Caymen Islands if anyone is interested. How about you PPAN?

JennRose
My eyes have gradually changed color over the years. They were a very deep, dark blue until I was about 11 or 12 and lightened to gray. Sometime in late high chool/early college they changed to green and are now still most definitely green. I hope they stay this way. original.gif

I don't think it's that odd for people w/ light colored eyes to have them change (especially depending upon what is being worn). As for it resulting from some sort of kinesis, it's not a very exciting one if that's the case. Other more...interesting...options have been discussed. laugh.gif

I don't have one gray and one green. I do have a big brown spot in my right eye though

Ahh It's so crazy! w00t.gif
Elfstone810
Insight, your picture uses pointillism, doesn't it, to create that illusion?

Eyes can certainly change their degree of color. My dad had bright blue eyes when he was younger, but when he was very old they looked much paler, like faded denim. I think it's something to do with pigmentation decreasing with age.

My eyes are a sort of bluey, greeney, grey and they change according to the light and the surroundings (what I'm wearing, etc.).

That IS crazy! And incredibly rare! I have never seen anything like that before. Cool.

To everyone else: You can change your eye color with eyechangekinesis. I'm sure if I gave it a name like "optikinesis" PPAN would believe it was real. Actually, maybe I'll try that out, and see if she notices. *laughs*

No, PPAN might not believe in it, I'm not to believing as well....*note*I didn't say "Its Fake" but "Not too believing"....

How many more kinesis will you make up? And can your eye change color, only before you were born? Like they maniplated your DNA in such a way, they injected it in your embryo and you have a purple left eye and a red right eye? whao....

sleepy.gif That's really, really, really, really, really, REALLY not funny anymore. At all. Not even a tiny bit. Yes, I did. I watch very little TV, that's one of the few shows that I watch. That, Futurama and InuYasha (Inu meaning dog in japanese and Yasha meaning "demon of the forest" Now you know the origin of my name... I AM OBSESSED WITH JAPAN MUAHAHAHHA) Oooh my off topic...

Err... Yes, Biokinetics could be used to change your eye colour, however I have very low belief in it's exsitence (1/1,000,000)

What is GyroKinesis supposed to do? huh.gif
Syaoransbear
Isn't Gyro.. meat?
JennRose
Sure, gyrokinesis makes a lamb and beef wrap appear from nowhere, hopefully with a side of spanikopita. rolleyes.gif Who comes up with these words? laugh.gif
Yasha
And Gyro is pronounced "Hero". But what is it supposed to do PPAN? If you don't believe in it I probably won't lol.

grin2.gif You know you guys have the best source of information of any previous generation. Goggle -(eye color change) to find that eye color is not fixed, and can be effected by many factors. and no it not PSI. It's simple science and genetics.
You don't have to make up magic.1 It's already all around you. It's called LIFE! thumbsup.gif

*Applauds!*

ROGER is wise, I suggest people should listen to him (PPAN, and company).
Neosypher
Allow me to throw science your way.
Having blue eyes or bluey eyes is actually having LACK of colour within them. My eyes were blue for a few weeks after my birth but changes to dark brown and it has stayed that way ever since. It is called melanin i think that gives your eyes colour. This melanin also gives moles their brown colour.
Yasha
Melanin is also what gives your skin colour, albinos have a lack of melanin which gives them their hair colour, white pale skin and eye colour.
Curiosity
My dog has brown eyes, exept her left eye has a bit of light blue, almost white in it.

My eyes are green with crayon-blue around the outer edge. Half of the people I ask say that my eyes are blue. blink.gif

Psi has nothing to do with it.

AH HA HA HA HA HA! That one made me laugh out loud. it's obvious to me that you were trying to find a single "kinesis" that you would proclaim not to believe in just so everyone here wouldn't think you believed in all of them. What you didn't do however is choose one that made sense.

You believe a person can control the weather through atmokinesis, but you don't believe a person could control a gravity field? Everything has gravity. Every molecule, every atom. But not everything has an atmosphere. I'm sure you cant possibly fathom the comparisan I am trying to make. What I am trying to say is that "If you don't believe in remotely moving gravity fields, why do you believe in remotely moving light/earth/rock/water feilds?

Pretty lame PPAN. You are the most gullible person I have ever met. Beside a 4 year old, that is.
arwenpotter
my friends eyes go from sea green to blue but thats most likely light.. mine have flashed blue and my eyes are brown so *shrugs* who knows original.gif

just to say another thing since i read Whisks post on dog.... my cousins dog Kylie has one electric blue eye and one brown original.gif like Kate moss (i think it wa s... soem Kate celeb person) cept Kylies is really electric blue....
