Full Version: Test Your Precog

Uhh I made this program with a simple idea, to flex precog. I don't have precog so when I used my own program I got a very very low score lol. Its a very primative program, very simple. I included the .exe and the source codes. The coding could have been compressed greatly if I wasn't so lazy, if I used more functions, but I decided to just repeat over and over again. To use it first put in a number where it says Random Number Variable... This number is the max number that each button can generate (0 to the number you put in), base it on your skill level. I was going to put a part to record all your scores in a text file but I got a bit lazy. If you forget to put this number in by replacing the text in the textbox the program will crash, I was also too lazy to put in coding to divert it from crashing, but to just give a error msg and resume. You then put a number you get from having a precognition, or feel will turn out right, after doing this you can push each button indivisualy or push the Batch button after filling out all the text boxes. Your results will show at the bottom. (Go to attachments to d/l) I know people will say this can't possibly measure precog skill but the idea is sure simple enough tongue.gif and you don't have to make cards or w/e to practice, if you find anything wrong with it or you want to add to it just post... the idea seems flawless but thats just me.

Removed old version.

Wow. Nice program. I put in 10, and got 1 right tongue.gif

What did you use to make it?
Mr_Mooo_Cow
I used visual basic, its not nice I made it in a minute, It was just a idea.
TooFarGone
Ok. It runs good enough for its purpose.
Mr_Mooo_Cow
I wanted some user feed back but im not sure how many people have precog, or are good at it enough to use it so constantly.

Extremely intreste in unexplained mysteries and paranormal phenominas. I myself have had some intriguing experiences that would most likely fit in these catagories. It's odd though. The more I try to disprove and abndon my sixth sense, the more accurate it becomes. It is frustrating to see so many things ahead of time and yet not be able to see the ones you truly want to know.
Mr_Mooo_Cow
Well that can be or is one of the purposes of the simple prog, to help control 'vision's of any sort, maybe to use it on command, the more you want it to occur the most likely it will occur.... just a thought. Being able to see things on command would be amazingly helpful, if able to be achieved.

After the last time I tried, I got a 10% 1/10 using 10 as my number variable... Horrible! rofl I did better on other accounts but im keeping my low average -_-;; Is anyone having a much higher success rate? just to see if its not just pure luck tongue.gif

I think its safe to assume people with low precog levels if any at all get on average 1 out of every 10 correct... If there are any 'professional' precoggers? out there test yo skills lol. I think im going to do a experiment for my own satisfaction. For the next few weeks I will use it daily using 10 as my number variable and see how many I get correct, then I will graph or just mark my increase or decrease. If it is a steady increase,or any increase at all I think it would be more believable, not that I don't believe it.
Mr_Mooo_Cow
Day 2:

Number Variable: 10
Correct: 2
Out of: 10
Percent: 20%
Increase/Decrease from previous day:
Correct: +1
Percent: +10

Try 2 Day 2:
Number Variable: 10
Correct: 3
Out of: 10
Percent: 30%
Increase/Decrease from last try:
Correct: +1
Percent: +10

I think it was pure luck... 10 cannot be really trusted... you have a 1 out of 10 chance of getting itright, it was just luck... 100 would be believable.

ive been bombing them horribly today, its also safe to say I have no precog ability what so ever tongue.gif nor does anyone else who gets low scores like me original.gif

I'm confused wacko.gif .

Random Number Variable(Put in a max #)REQUIRED

How do you put the number in? I think I get it wrong because when I put the number '10' to where it tells me to, I put a number less than 10 in the individual boxes and:
QUOTE
Run time error '13''

type mismatch
is what I get wacko.gif ....
Mr_Mooo_Cow
Put the number variable in first(I put in 10), the only thing I can think of that would cause that error is the timer inside the prog, every 200 millaseconds it sees if the numbers you put in any of the 10 indivisual text boxes are of greater value then the number you put in the number variable text box. So if I put 11 in any of the boxes and my number variable was 10, it would automatically refill that one textbox with the words "Too Big". See my screen shot.

oh my bad I know what caused runtime error 13, when you press any of the buttons BEFORE you define a number in the number variable text box, it causes that error. It does this because the function does not have the coding to reroute it to a plain error message on error, and just resume the program, so instead the program just self terminates. The coding tells the program to convert ALL string in the number variable text box into a integer, letters cannot be converted that way, so if the textbox is left unchanged before the button is press, it will constantly try to convert a letter into a integer, which cannot be done, so it gives you a mismatch error.

replaced the prog with a few things fixed, I found that I sometimes pressed the batch buttons when I did not want to, whichw as annoying so I added a msgbox to confirm your decision to use the batch, I made minor fixed on the batch buttons, There was also a major flaw in the random numbers, if you put 10 as the number variable it would never create 10, 9 was the highest, but that is now fixed. Rerouted the only possible error, the program should no longer crash. The new one is the bigger one(in the first post)

I wanna test that one girl who claims she has xray vision... Didn't she say or have in her sig or sumthin she has precog and the whole 9 yards... The test of proof? I would make a special version for her tongue.gif a version flawlessly made so there is no possible way to cheat the outcome, even with memory editors and such, and it would send the final reasults to a ftp sever in text file format tongue.gif That would be the ultimate test.

40 downloads of the old version, 2 downloads on the new version... People must like those bugs, or maybe they gave up on precog original.gif

Mr_Mooo_Cow
FreyKade since you decreased I think its safe to say the first one was luck... I wanna see someone get a very high score tongue.gif that would show to me someone might have high precog abilities. So far the highest I ever got right out of 10 tries, 10 as number variable was 3... today every time I tried I either stayed the same, or increased... hmmm. I need more data, maybe from someone who claims to have precog original.gif

If you run a windows operating system it should work...
seeking
what version of Vb are you using, he may need the run-time files
Mr_Mooo_Cow
Oh true, vb6, I figured most people have them because alot of programs require them.
Yasha
VB?
Mr_Mooo_Cow
Here ill post a link where to get the runtime files, its on microsoft.com

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en

I hope that helps
Yasha
Thanks, now it workes... I hope..
