Just wondering what people thought of the mysterios Ouiji board.
I personally would never really use one, wouldn't want to take out any evil spirits into my household.
So supposedly the Ouiji board, has the power to bring good and evil spirits so that you may talk to them and ask them questions.
Many people have fallen victim to evil spirits brought into there homes, and either giving the owner bodily harm, or destroying there property.
But many skeptics also beileve that there is nothing but muscles twitching which causes the piece to move over diffrent letters and make answers. Another explination could be that the person is moving it with there own hands but not realizing it.

I have done this ,starting as a child. I feel that the Ouija board is more a toy at this point. I do remember that in the late 70's I was attending a Christian Church that said it was evil and to get rid of it. I took it outside and doused it with gasoline. When I lit it, I thought that it burned rather weird. the board was on the ground and then there was empty space, and then the flames. I haven't had an occassion to try one for a long time. I prefer to get my answers from the "Source". K

Ouija board was intended to communicate with spirits, instead most got abushed by demons that like to play with people. Demons are what make anything evil. If you get a demon by using an ouija board then you have yourself a BIG problem. Don't play with fire if you don't want to get burnt.

I heard that it's an opening for evil spirits and could possibly be harmful. I've tried one, but not in a very long time. I don't really have a use to use one either. Using the Ouija board comes up every so often between my brother and me, but we will probably never use it.
I think it might be a good thing not to use it though.

Hotoke-
I wouldn't really be able to tell you since i've never used one myself.
Anyways. Me and my friend were watching some show on tv about ghosts, and they talked about ouiji boards. So me and my friend went onto the computer at his house and searched it up, we found out everything like the demons, evil spirits and such.
Then he told me he had a ouiji board, he would never use it .m He said the only way we' use it is if we did it at my house, we both didn't want psychopathic ghosts trying to strangle us in our sleep, so we never used it. It came up every now and then but he would always say no.. -

a pity. How many people actually died using a ouja board? Are you planning to use 1 in teh future? someday you cant resist the urge to use a ouija board

Don't know if anyone saw this but...
Recently on UK tv we had a programme from a psychological illusionist called 'Derren Browns haunting' I think. He took us to a house where 5 years ago 15 teenagers died in a suicide pact. He took 8 college students with him and they did a number of things, includeing use a ouija board and lock one of them in a dark room.
The girl in the dark room told how she saw the ghost of one of them, a Mrs. Francis Ballmark, and the same ghost made contact with the group when they did a ouija board.
Now heres the intresting bit; at the end of the show he told us that the suicide pact was made up and never happened; the building was brand new and just built for the show, and that none of the teens we were told killed themselves have ever exsisted.
So thats a good peice of evibdence for non-beleivers, i guess.

When I was about twelve my niece and one of her friends and I used one. Absolutely nothing happened and it was incredibly boring so we gave up. That night we all had an identical dream that my three-foot-tall, stuffed rabbit (Chauncey) was possessed. When we woke up Chauncey had moved from the foot of my bed facing out the window to the head of the bed facing me.

Fairiwings, the reason your board burned like that was because gasoline in its liquid form isn't flammable. It's the fumes rising off it that burn. When you doused the board and then lit it, what you actually lit was the air over it. It's the same thing that happens when they light flaming desserts at fancy restaurants.

I have been in the room where my friends would play the ouija board. I always got freeked out and left the room. Once I went to a garage sale and found one. I bought it for 2 whole quarters. So me and my friend when to the park and when up into the big slide to test it out. I don't remember why we got so scared but I tryed to sell it back and they wouldn't take it so I found someones garbage can and tossed the sucker in there. Haven't touch one since. Have done other type of boards that are supposed to bring in the goodness. ah well, After watching 'WitchBoard' when I was little always creeped out by the board.

I had an experience for my 16th b-day... three of us were using the board, some other girls were watching... My friend Paige asked to speak to her grandmother. The stupid think jumped under our hands and started spelling ELIZABETH. I got so freaked out at about the B because my name is Elizabeth... I ran up the stairs crying... I was soon followed by Paige who was also crying... She assured me that she wasn't trying to trick me. The Grandmother she was trying to contact was names something like susan, I don't remember. But the grandmother she wasn't trying to contact, had been dead since she was a little girl and her name was Elizabeth.
Needless to say I havn't used one of those things since.

I remember using one when I was about 11 or 12 with 2 friends of mine. I remember the thing moved, but don't remember what it spelled out. I do remember that my 2 friends were freaked out and I wasn't.
I probably wouldn't bother now.

Just before last halloween, I convinced a bunch of my friends to go to a cemetary on halloween night and use a ouiji board. However, they got scared at the last minute and bailed on me. So, to this date, I have not yet tried it. Recently, one of those friends had a change of mind and tried the ouiji board with family members. She isn't really the same anymore, and she doesn't want to talk about it. I guess I did't really want to try it after that.

Me and my friend and his little brother, w hang out alot and we were just hangen around his basement. It was full of all his old junk, from a couple years ago, to when we were little kids. Well, we stumbled upon the Ouija bored and decided to have a little fun. We searched the web and read the storys, and being the idiots we are, tried to summon a demon.
As we continued to ask the board questions, the room became colder and colder. Just as we were putting away the ouija board, after thinking it was failed, the old ride-on fire truck we played with many years ago started to circle around the room, picking up speed. Finally I picked up a baseball bat and knocked the thing away, we flew up the stairs so fast. The only time I had run that fast before was being chased by a dog.
Later, I ran home, hoping never to see another Ouija bored.
About a month later, guess what turned up in my birthday preasants? An oujia board. And the damn thing won't go away, it's freaky.
Anyway, I'll never use those things again...but then again, I'm still the same old idiot.

"The Ouija board is a vehicle which makes it easy for negative spirits and demonic forces to enter this plane of existence." The Merrillville, Indiana clairvoyant cautioned that evil spirits or demonic forces often gain the trust of people experimenting with Ouija boards by answering several questions truthfully and providing predictions. "Once they have gained the trust of their victims, it is easy for the entity to move in and take over either by strongly influencing that person, or by outright possession," she said. People who are untrained and unsophisticated in the field of the paranormal and supernatural should never play with devices such as the Ouija board, according to the clairvoyant.
