I watched a show on the History Channel last night all about the end times and the book of Revelation. It's fun television as was the Davinci Code. I can't believe all the people that buy in to this stuff as being true. Just think about all the authors that have made a ton of money of their end times books. When the powers that be were cherry picking what so called sacred writings would make it into the bible, had they left out the tripping ST John's Revelations ,they would have really put a
lot of future writers out of business.
Tonight they have a show all about hell and the devil! That should be a fun one. They were saying that the number of devil worshipers in the U.S. is in the millions.
Wow! So many seekers looking for their guru with a pipeline to the truth. I guess some decided it was Satan. Let the games begin! The classic tale of good versus evil or also known as the game of black and white!
Breaking news from Renne La Chateau .....what the priest really found was the nails used in the cross and a note from Lew Minatti explaning everything pertaining to the origins of man and Planet X !!

If you're saying that you're not worried in the least bit because of those who believe in the "Messiah" then you need to take a better look around you.
I don't care what religion you practice or follow. And I don't care how much you like to ridicule others for their beliefs.
But the one thing you absolutely CANNOT deny is that this world has NEVER been as dangerous in the past as it is right now.
We've got Muslim extremists that want nothing more than to enforce their will on others. To be able to put themselves into power and beat everyone else in society down. To rule the world. We've got Christian extremists who want the same thing. We've gone through a complete breakdown of a major super power in the last 15 years (USSR) and there are STILL literally TONS of nuclear materials that are unaccounted for.
We've got people hijacking planes and flying them into buildings.
We've got people strapping bombs to themselves and walking into crowded areas of innocent civilians.
We've got people running around taking hostages and chopping their heads off....then videotaping it for the rest of the sick f*cks in this world who get off by looking at that kind of thing.
We've got a near revolution in Saudi Arabia that is at hand with the worlds major oil reserves at stake.....and the biggest Islamic fundamentalist organization gunning for control of that country.
We've got nuclear idiots in Iran who'd like to have the rest of the world actually believe that their lust for nuclear materials is strictly for peaceful purposes.
And if that's not enough, we've got another nuclear moron in North Korea that gets all liquored up on Scotch and good ole American cowboy movies and who's just ITCHING to piss anyone off.
You don't think the end times of this world are near at hand?

Phhhht. The only reason it looks that way os because we have better technilogical advances and media covorage. We are so more in the know about what's going on in the world now then we were say the past century that it looks horrible.
Remember, we've lived through 2 world wars that are horribly worse then anything that's going on now. We just didn't know half the crap that was happening back then. Now, we can't even turn around without knowing that the president of the US sneezed yesterday at 3:42 pm.

I agree with SilverCougar. The fact that the entire world is logged in together makes it all seem that much worse. Before we only had our little area to worry about, but now we know who was murdered in Australia, to who was blown up in Bahgdad. It's just innundating us because we have satellite links to every corner of the world.

back in the olden days.....the days when we were cave men, i dont think they had any such thing as countries.. they only had the area they lived in and their tribes. these tribes could be seen as their own little "countries". fire was quite unknown in those days. to have fire was to have a thermonuclear device.

Fire kills, and has killed many people. Nuclear holocaust and fallout could be catastrophic to the point of extinction.

Have you guys read much history? (I'm not being sarcastic here) Mankind is not changing. There have ALWAYS been atrocities: wars, plagues, torturous and cruel ruling powers, terrorism. Always, since man was able to create tools to use as weapons. It's no better or worse today, there are just more of us people, with bigger and fiercer weapons, and a lot of news coverage.
Yes, there is a very real threat from nuclear weapons now that hasn't been in centuries past, but it won't destroy the planet. We may succeed in destroying humanity, but probably not. We are a tenacious species, and have survived destruction on a global scale before under much more limited and trying circumstances.

what im trying to say is that to the cave men, their WHOLE WORLD, probably consisted of a few tribes. lets say this one tribe knows only 2 other tribes...if one of those tribes is killed because of a fire incident, would that not be 1/3 of the population of their world gone??
its just like if you somehow went back in time with a lighter, the cave men would probably have worshiped you as a god.. a god that can create fire from his hands. but if someone pulled out a box and made a flame with it, you would say "thats nothing, can buy one of those for 50 pence"

That was hardly my point. For the average Joe worry and guilt are tools that imobilze one. No matter how much guilt one has they can't change the past. Let it go learn from your choices and move on. And don't confuse worry with concern which is what you did. Guilt robs people every day of living in the present as does worry about the future.

Looking at the tenor of your posting, I hope you added yourself to the "useless bickering pessimists". Your outlook on mankind is extremely biased, jaded and just plain wrong.
