First off i would like to give greetings and salutations to all.

As i live in scotland a few years back there was this killer clown thing going around where a group of clowns had kidnapped children as a copycat of the film IT. They actually killed someone as it was reported in the news.
There was a scare going around all the primary schools at that point.

The funny thing was that one time as i was coming back from a school trip, i seen them all in a blue van as our bus drove past them. Yes, about 6 clowns. they were never caught lol.

I believe it was a story used to promote the film "Restless Natives", and parents and schools used it a a good way to get the message through to kids about not talking to strangers.

The film was released mid to late 80's (I think), but the story hung around for years after, and slowly changed from two bank robbers wearing clown masks to a whole gang of psychotic clowns kidanapping children.

More of a playground myth than anything else.

Yeah, urban myth. I heard it too...I even knew some idiot who claimed to have seen them. He lived in Seedhill, so he liked to act as if he knew all about that gang rubbish, and what everyone was doing.

To the best of my knowledge, the story was made up, and then went on to be exagerated by silly school kids trying to freak each other out.

Well, if it's true or not it's still creepy...

I hate clowns

Man I hated clown to start with, now I'm even more scared... *cries*

When the circus came to town it was such a big event in our area that every one went.

When leaving the big top you always had hundreds of kids crying there heads of ,not at the lions,elephants,cammels...no it was those creepy clowns.

A few years later we had IT and that loveable friend PENNYWISE that scared the sh....t right out of me

I can't believe so many people hate clowns. I've been one part time before. Ive also been a character at an amusement park. We had to have security guards with us because teenagers would come up and kick us and hit us. I was mischevious too, pinching cute guys on the butt, and when they found out who I was they didn't complain.

Oh stop CLOWNING around the pair of you...next thing you know you`l get married ,have lots of baby clowns ,one morning you will be fighting for the mirror to see who is first to put on your make up then bang ,,fight breaks out ,buckets of false water gets thrown all over you ,DIVERSE is the next thing ,court battle for custody for the baby clowns..you know the rest.
