Toe-to-toe the vampires lose.. they just can't deal with the ferocity of a werewolf. The vampire's edge is that they can manipulate humans / society and turn them against the werewolf without ever having to show itself ;p Or you know.. the vampire could just win by attrition since they don't age.

and if u let the vamp use people then it can use its other powers like say summoning a familiar like say a bigger meaner dog, instantly regrow limbs, become thousands of small bats and evade the attacks power to use telekinetic powers to hold wolf in place... i could go on forever and vamps do have the power they just look weaker because they use magic to be strong....... it always comes back to the age a young wolf vs a young vamp is a even fight because they don't have much powers and 2 elders going at it it would be so even as to be scary because they both would have ability's that make them immortal such as instant regrowth of limbs.. cant think of any others right now but there are thousands of em. this is and will always be chicken vs the egg

This is of course the issue (other than their lack of existing).. what are their 'powers' considered to be. Each set of myths is going to change the scenarios.

If there were no outside objects at all involved it's very likely you'd have a stale mate. But the fact is, unless the vampire has a silver spike in his jacket or very long silver tipped finger nails the werewolf won't be able to be killed.......on the other hand the werewolf would have no problem ripping the vamps head off if he got a hold of him. So if it's a fight to the death one way or another with no possible stalemate I'd say 80% chance of Werewolf victory.

thats my point vamps and werewolves are almost the same in myths so its a even fight

HA! I just had a brainstorn! Enviornment probably dictates the winner:

If the fight was indoors the Vampire would win because eventually the night would end and the moon would disappear so the werewolf would revert back to a normal human being, now if there is anyway to kill a werewolf other than the silver through the heart it would be then, and depneding on the mythology used the Vamp could then easily kill the werewolf.

And if the fight was out doors the werewolf would win because he could just wait till dawn and then grab hold of the vampire even if he was changing and hold him in the sunlight until he fryed.

only prob is the elder forms dont change/burn during the day sothat only works for young ones but good idea
