Its comments like that that make it difficult to have a intelligent conversation about Lycans.

The fact is, there ARE lycanthropes out there. They're ARE lycan clans, and they are deadly serious about their 'blessing' or 'curse' as they call it. And as long as their not hurting anyone, then so what? Let them do their thing, but it is those that do go around stalking people in the night, doing harm, and attacking that are the real problem. they are not a good representation of the lycanthropes at all, as most I have talked with are perfectly normal seeming people, they have a job, family, attend college, have kids-- those are the ones that really arent hurting anyone.

K, seriously... I feel bad here. The people who think they are supernatural creatures... it is because someone out there - probably many people have made you feel that you were outcast, unloveable, or in some way inept and small, insignificant or powerless...etc. That is horrible - and I wish it didn't happen. However, pretending you are "more then human", is very transparent, and an obvious longing to feel powerful, and "better then" those people who have wronged you and gotten away with it all these years. Focus on your inner strength, and all your natural talents, and do logical, realistic things like exercise, martial arts, focus on a hobby, learn a new skill, join a support group or group therapy, where you can maybe enhance social skills.... There is always a way to improve - in a real, deeper then the surface way to make yourself feel empowered, and raise your self esteem without resorting to totally demoralizing yourself with these embarrassing, childish beliefs. Unless... of course, if you are still a teenager and in high school, where it makes. If you are over 18 - time to put down the comics and get a job. You will actually feel better, instead of shoving the rage further inward. People and animals do have a lot in common, and we have been trained to suppress our "darker" feelings... but that is not healthy, and leads to us projecting our own feelings of wanting to be a little "wild" or lash out in a power frenzy... onto these stories and legends.... that is why they have all been around and are still so popular thousands of years later... None of it is reality. Reality is that there are terrible people out there... who do terrible things... and we all need to protect ourselves, physically, and emotionally... All that said... magic, and the occult and imaginations and stories.. are great fun aren't they... great escape from bills and responsibility and tests etc.... but that is it.... Anne Rice wrote fiction... not autobiographies....

Thanks. Thank goodness there are people out there with common sense. It is fun to read about this stuff... I'm reading... I'm on the blogs... I watch the movies - it's all good... better if we can separate fantasy from reality though.

I brought this thread back because I am doing research to better understand this kid in school.... he has a vampire/werewolf fascination. His profile is very typical, what I think is the profile of the people who are out there claiming to be part of 'clans' of 'real' this or that. He is a minority in his school... and bullied... for years... no dad in the home... no one to go to for protection... now that he is dressing in the gothic garb..., painting his face white and wearing plastic fangs, the kids are afraid of him, thus reversing his position from vulnerable and weak, into the (pun intended) 'alpha male' of the school. It is working and he is very invested into the role play... to the point that I am now concerned about his mental state... so... seeing this for the first time, I wanted to go on the Internet and see what I can find and see what people say and how they feel...etc. I cannot believe the amount of people passionately wanting to be supernatural. Funny how the idea of being "Superman" is childish... but they think nothing of claiming to be a werewolf... That is why it is so obviously suppressed rage and wish for empowerment. I personally think they should volunteer to be firemen... be real heros, get real respect and admiration. Nothing like saving a life to make a person feel a part of society... the 'clan' or 'pack' they have longed for.... All I'm sayin

Werewolf’s and lycans

Werewolves: are human type of people who are bitten by a rabid or infected wolf or dog. Werewolves are only seen during the full moon. The human that has been bitten by a were wolf can not control him/her self from morphing and its actions. Werewolves can found anywhere they can be your friends or parents or someone you know. Werewolves are usually found in outland tribes. Werewolves fest on any type of meat. The person who is infected with the wolf senpery will most likely know it but will not be able to control it. A werewolf is a night creature do to the full movie. When a werewolf turns he/she does not turn into a wild dog, they do turn into dog like subjects. When a human turns he/she first experience a very powerful migrant or head ach they they feel a spree or a cold rush in there spin and begin to hunch over. Once they have fallen on the ground and hunched over there adrenalin doubles and releases 300 times faster then a normal humans would. The human gets more stronger and has an increase in all senses by 50% there body begins to burn up. When the person is at a burning stage his/her thc level increases by 30% and eyes turn watery red. When this has happened the human as turned and is ready to hunt. Any damages taken by the werewolf will be less lethal to its body by 20% and can withstand more damage or heal much faster.

Lycans or lycanthropy:

Lycans are very similar to werewolves, but unlike the werewolf a lycan does not turn during the full moon. A lycan is a person who has been bitten by a weredog. Lycans are humans who have the ability to turn into a werewolf at anytime. Lycans are very rare creatures to find, though a lycan can turn at anytime they usually turn at midnight or past and till morning. Lycans are a more evolved type of a werewolf. When a lycan turns it doesn’t not have to go threw the same effects as a werewolf. When a lycan turns it turns fairly quick. When a lycan begins to turn he/she would feel the same cold spree in there spin and the insane lose of concentration. A lycan has its adrenalin rushing in its body 150 times faster when it is turning it releases the adrenalin by 150 times faster. Do to this a lycan wouldn’t be able to sit still for more then an hour and would need to move around. The lycans thc level is released as it turns just like the werewolf. Being a lycan does damage to your body a lot. When a lycan turns its body features change. The bones begin to shift slightly, his or her teeth begin to shift and his or her muscle mass gains. When a human turns into a lycan more then half of the humans body resources and materials are used up. There for a lycan is never big or massive. A person who is a lycan would most likely look very thin but muscular in cretin areas of the body. Unlike the werewolf a lycan has full control of his/her actions. A lycan has very fast hormone drop, there for a lycan has an incredible charm on its target. A lycan can eat at a fast rate and can consume 40% more then an average human. Although lycans are animal eaters the taste of a human is more then amazing or satisfying they anything to there taste. Though a lycan wouldn’t eat a human unless it has to a lycan can crave for human taste endlessly.

Noticeable traits: (a none turned lycan) someone who’s thin but muscular in cretin areas of the body, mostly tall, green/blue/light brown color eyes,

Things you can find to hint of a lycan:
Damages/scratches on the body in odd locations. Not sleeping for days, weird change in habits or activity.
