Hello there, I'm new around this forum. Just wanted to tell of an experience a friend and I had this past summer. It happened at a lake in walking distance from behind my house. After it turned dark me and a friend were going to take a view at the scene from the shores. We never took a flashlight, we should've, but the moon was shining bright and that made things more visible. We chatted on our way there up until we approached the shore, then when we saw strange things floating on the water. We realized they were humps when we seen them stretched out further into the lake. It was really really long. I was a little skeptical about whatever it was but curious too, so I stood closer to the shoreline, probably less then ten feet away from the end that was closest to the shore. I grabbed rocks and threw them at it to see if it would move but it didn't(the rocks I could find weren't too big but I swear I threw lots). Then we watched it and after a while we just left. That's all that happened.

Anyhow. I live in northern saskatchewan, I was wondering if there are any other similar sightings around this area. C'ya!

P.S if someone could put up some pics that'd be interesting, thx

Maybe it could have been a snake or a couple of snakes sorta in a single file line. I have never seen a snake swim but I'm sure they can and maybe they sleep in the water? How deep is the part where the creature was at? What animals or insects are seen around your area? Or it could have been trash, like a long tube used in a house. Did you go back the next day in the day light? Anything washed up on the shore if you did go back? Tracks? Heh sorry for all the questions. Good luck answering them.

First of all snakes do swim.....but they will not just SIT there while you throw rocks at them. he plainly states that the thing/s didnt budge for awhile.

Second, not for sure, but the message i get from this story makes me think that this thing wasnt small....as in the humps i mean. he didnt say but if they werent little then we can cross out snakes for sure.

Third, garbage....come on now.......im sure it has hapend before but this is unlikely. im sure he wouldve known it was garbage...he lives there next to the lake, so, im sure he would have heard that there is garbage in the waters.

also he said he was about 10 feet from the shore.....add the distance this thing was out in the water and that alone would make it hard to see snakes. you will only see ther entire body of a swiming snake or the head poping out. not HUMPS.

oh and snakes dont just SIT in the water, they get in and then they get out. specialy if rocks are heading in its direction.

True. I love marine entitys, but this sounds like none to me.

Does the lake have a name?

It was night time, there was only moon light, a creature popped up out of the water, and it didn't move. It stayed on the surface after you threw rocks at it, and it still didn't move. It stayed still long enough for you to get bored and walk away! If you really thought it was a lake creature I'm 100% sure you wouldn't walk away from it! I'm not calling you a liar (rolleyes.gif) But I'll tell you it probably wasn't a lake creature... More likely drift- wood.

Well than what do you think it was? And not all snakes are small...Plus shadows could make the thing look bigger (he said the moon was out, but that doesn't make it daylight). Maybe it was a snake carcass floating in water? heh I suggested snake once and now its all blown outta praportion (sp)
