Awed, humbled and shocked by the destruction caused by the tsunamis that hammered southern Asia earlier this week, Linkin Park have teamed up with the American Red Cross to establish Music for Relief, a charity dedicated to providing

I know that there's more about this information and I'm not sure if anyone's already heard about it or something on it.

Not sure where to put this either. hmm.gif

Hope you all enjoy this. happy.gif wub.gif

It's good that more people are pitching in, but it sounds like a bad attempt for failing celebrities to improve their image by donating a measly percent of their massive fortune to help those who really need the money to survive.

IMO, I don't think that it's bad for some celebrity to help out no matter how much they're donating. I think that's a kindness out of their hearts to even think about giving money that they have to others less fortunate. I also think that something like this that has happened, they were just thinking about the people and all of the suffering. It's a huge thought and I'm glad it happened. wub.gif

Spot on!

Would they even be aware of it if their agents and beauticians hadn't told them?
saRa
Well, if I were famous, I'd still watch the news. I don't think that there would be a reason not to. I just think that it was great that a thought was passed through. happy.gif

Its not right to judge artists. Many of them are very political, and have been very connected with opposition to the war, and trying to get people to vote.

Chris Collingwood is famouse because allow he's earnt millions for the new FOW album, he lives in a terraced house with the band and two cats, drives a 1967 Volkswagon van and wears clothes which are so un-stylish they're stylish. Evreything he hasn't used to buy the nessecities of a normal life, hes given to charity. Celebrateys should donate like him though, silently.

I don't think Linkin Park is doing it for the wrong reasons. I think they actually care.

Thank you! I feel the same way. Why else would they get into all of this? Even if their managers told them about this, they still would've given a donation.
I think that it's all about someone's feeling for something. Someone can't tell to give a donation for something so huge. I'm just glad that some of the 'Hollywood' people got into all of this too. If it weren't for them, then their fans wouldn't have followed and done the same. happy.gif

You know what who cares if they are trying to improve thier image. Celebrities have the power to help charities draw in money and raise awareness. Look at Band Aid in 1984. Right now thats good enough for me.

Speaking of the tsunami, I read an article about a porno shoot being interupted by the wave. If i could only find the link...
