there are a few more pictures from that incident. I dunno, it doesn't look like a plesiosaur, but then again, there are supposedly more than 1 type of creature in Loch Ness

One of the famed Robert Rhines photos. The others in his infamous underwater strobe photography images show large flippers and one even appears to show the head neck and torso of the creature. I have a lot of expertise when it comes to the Rhines explorations, so if you want to know anything else on it, lemme know

No one said they believed it to be proof... Besides I believe the first picture in this post to be a piece of wood, as well as it may be a possibility that that is also the case in the first of the three i posted. Everything else aside, Nessie or not, the last two in my post are definite objects other than wood.

Jan 4 2005, 07:04 AM
OK,i higlighted the head in green. The 2 eyes show a bit of a shiny flash, typical of what a sea creature's eyes would do.Since it's murky water(giving credibility that this is actually a pic from the Loch)it prevents full eye flash,so,the eyes are still visible from the flash.

Not proving or disproving: Another expedition to Loch Ness went to the same area as the first shot was taken and discovered a log that looked exactly like the first picture. So it's assumed the pic was taken at an angle to give it more of a 'Nessie-look'; more than likely it was an accident, not staged.
As for the famous 'flipper shot', apparently there was whole lot of 'finessing' the underwater picture to give it the quality we have today. I've seen a copy of the original, untouched shot, and it's much darker and harder to discern what it is.

Yeah, either its a crazy baby nessie, or this picture was takin from a distance. Also, the waters of the loch are murky, so you wouldnt be able to take a far underwater pic. And, there arent caves large enough down there for a large creature, I think.

Well,it is said that the Loch has a neverending bottom in some parts

And there have recently been found that there is large caves deep down, and it is also said that there are caves under the Loch. Now,channels joining some lakes have been proven on the discovery channel, and deeper parts of the lake can be reached through these channels, therefor, making some experts strongly believe that some channels lead to places under the loch...

I remember seeing this picture as a kid, and the face was so obvious to me. Now I stare at it and can't find what I was so sure at the time was there. I think as a kid I wanted to believe so badly, I made sure I saw something credible. I think now it is most likely a log or some other object at the bottom of the loch. I like the flipper one the best. Very neat. But as Jennrose stated, it was altered before being presented to the public. Doesn't necessarily mean it's not a flipper, just takes some of the wind out of the sails, ya know what I mean?

It just looks like a shadowy rock formation.
What is supposedly the head looks like the miss-shapen corner of the rock. I don't see any eyes with camera flash, just light and dark bits of rock.
There does seem to be a somewhat neck like shape portruding from somewhere but that can easily be done on a computer and if you look closely to the left of the green circle that Canadian did you can see the various different shadings of the rock. If you look closely enough you can see where a lighter shading of the rock continues down in that dark middle bit that is supposedly the cave where the neck in coming from.
Also that cave doesn't look that big. Atleast not big enough for a Pleiosaur (sp?) or whatever Nessie is beleived to be.

CR When will you learn?! You keep whine when people debunk your theory. But when things go your way, you try to shut down thread as fast as possible so no one can debunk anything you say! If you want to preach start your OWN website where you can control everything! People here aren't just here to pretend everything is real like as you! I bet you look at bump of mud and say "AAHH!! THAT MUST BE MONGOLIAN GIANT WORM!" or find a fresh crack on your driveway and thinking it was flying sauce landing on your driveway the night before! You gotta to learn how to judge what you see and up picture when you REALLY think it is worthy! Not like following:
