okay, my friend noreen dosn't believe or have any interest what so ever with the paranormal. she's very level headed and a 'common sense' kinda gal. very skeptical.

she told me about this one day, hadn't told anyone else, and made out it was no big deal. she is sure of what she saw, but unable to explain it, she's put it at the back of her mind.

she said that one day she happened to glance out the window on a rainy foggy day. standing not too far away was a grim grisly looking man cloaked in grey. he was staring in at her with a sort of sneer. not believeing what she was seeing she turned away, and when she looked back, he was gone. she says it wasn't the last time she's seen him either.

no-one of that description lives anywhere near that area.

has anyone else experienced such? any stories with grey clad grisly men? the story freaked me anyway and i believe her coz noreen isn't one of great imagination. she's actually quite closed minded and i was surprised to hear such a story from her!

oh, my mistake

If she's seeing people watching her like that, she should CALL THE POLICE like any sane level headed 'common sense' gal would.

laugh.gif .....no, gandalf is a way kinder looking i'd say tongue.gif

i don't think she was lying somehow...i considered a local mad man...but we only have one and it wasn't him...maybe the grim reaper...but you're not supposed to see his face right? huh.gif
RaginCajun
vamp, can you be more specific if you can???? it could have been some nut trying to break in or do something bad to her...just because it's odd doesn't mean it is always a paranormal thing...

sounds like you "want to believe" rofl.gif

i know yeah laugh.gif but i'd say she reckons no-one would believe her (cept me blush.gif tongue.gif ) and whenever someone like her sees something like that, they always tend to dismiss it say 'ah, no big deal' rolleyes.gif

It isn't up to the police to not believe her. What they will do is put a watch out on anyone fitting her description. Reasurance if nothing else.
RaginCajun
well, if that's her attidude then forget her...you have to be aware and do something...she could be suffering from a medical problem too. have you or her considered that???? it can't always be "its a monster"...

some nut is what came to mind straight away, and i immmediately started giving out to her for not telling her parents coz he could try rape her or something...she kinda brushed away the notion like 'that would never happen' rolleyes.gif

i told her if she sees him again tell someone.

i just thought it was spooky, i mean cloaked in grey and sneering brings scary images to mind. was wondering if anyone else knows something bout freaky men in grey! ph34r.gif

if he wanted to hurt her, why did he just disappear like that? maybe i should discuss this with her again...
dagreenbug53
..she's a very sensible gal, level headed skeptical........quite close-minded
...skeptical/quite close-minded....jumps out at me. You said it in a nutshell. That's the kind of people you see around here. There are all kinds of sightings like this, they are documented even. I've been reading a bunch just last week, but most close-minded skeptics don't believe there are such occurrences and they don't know about documented cases.

Now, let me see, if I was going to answer this in a practical vein, I'd say your friend has a stalker. But then again stalkers don't disappear. cool.gif

...the local skeptics might say she needs to check in at her local psychiatric hospital.
