This photograph was taken by Phil Trevis near Bonnybridge in Scotland. He and his
friend were on a hill taking photos for a college project when they saw two dim
lights near the pylons. They watched the object, which turned around and it's
lights became visible, and then it flew swiftly overhead, whereupon Phil took the shot.

This is on of the most convincing UFO photographs I've seen, I can remember seeing this before on a programme that included other UFO stories from Bonnybridge. To all intents and purposes it looks like a structured craft, certainly not the conventional 'dot' or 'light' that could be anything.
Very interesting picture.

A few of my thoughts when I first saw this pic:
- "Dave? What are you doing, Dave?"
- Someone had the camera backwards and got a great close-up of their eye.
- A cut out scene from "Star Trek III" or "Close Encounters"
Pretty good UFO, though.

one of the thing I find good with the attached image apart from it being clear, is that you can see what looks like the exhaust coming out of what I take to be the back of the disc.

You can almost imagine an engine or propulsion system of some kind in the centre there, could easily be some sort of experimental craft.

As with most clear (ish) photographs of paranormal phenomena, either the image is
totally fake or totally genuine. The problem therein lies in determining which one of
those options is the correct one. Certainly Bonnybridge has had its fair share of Ufo
reports and there seems to be no real reason for the image to be fake...
...except that there's this nagging doubt in my mind. The two guys who took the
photo were 'taking photographs for a college project'. So that means they either were
genuinely taking photographs at twilight of the town from the hill, or... they were
trying to get one kind of a photo that would guarantee them publicity and fame...?
They certainly knew more than your average Joe about photography... Hmmmm.
Call me a cynic. I'd really like this to be a genuine photo, though. It's neat.

That is a great pic.

It worries me though that one of the gentlemen involved in the incident isn't new to U.F.O. sightings . For most people isn't a sighting a once in a lifetime thing ?

For something that was increasing dramatically in speed they certainly got a very clear photo of it.
Great piccie though LB

Hi I know I'm new and new members to forums are often attacked for rocking the boat, but just because I'm new here doesnt mean i dont know things.
Anyway i'd just like to say that that picture is crap and looks like a tea cup being photographed from under a glass table.
Why has the picture been cropped so much? Is it to cut out the fruit bowl at the other end of the table?!

You may be new (and I am too) but you asked some good questions. If there is more to the picture, where is it? If there isn't, then the picture was snapped pretty dang close, and under the described conditions, getting it centered like that is a stroke of amazing luck. Too bad it couldn't be put in better focus.. I'm betting it is a total hoax.
I like your "teacup from beneath a glass table".. that's inspired. I thought it was a top-down over a burner of some kind, with only a couple of gasjets going.

Moose Man, (& Sidhe) for that matter just cos you are new doesn't mean that u don't know anything of that u will be attacked for rocking the boat.
Far from it, new members bring new ideas, new perspectives to older threads, so unless u actually offend any one personally...... this is a very open minded Forum community.....
BTW I do like the idea that the picture looks like a tea cup being photographed from under a glass table. & Sidhe's a top-down over a burner of some kind, with only a couple of gasjets going.
See what I mean by different perspectives?

MooseMan,
I am in total agreement with you it is a great photo but it tells you nothing, the cropping has destroyed all context.

Has the picture been cropped? I don't know that much about it, to tell the truth.
It certainly would be very lucky to get a dead-centre image that is pretty clear
for a fast-moving object, but it's not entirely impossible. On the other hand the
the image is not totally crisp either.
We don't have enough info to make a proper decision.
Jury's out in my camp.

Wicked link there - some interesting theories on spacecraft propulsion. Would feel more comfortable with the photo if it was subjected to independent analysis.
