I used cryptos at first but have been influenced by Canadian (he rules, btw) and his postings and begun to use Cryptid. I think all are fine, I was just wondering which one the forym liked best.

Cryptids sounds pretty cool, but I like Cryptos better because that's what I'm most accustomed to.

I think the term used by most cryptozoologists is "Cryptid".
From Loren Coleman's "Cryptozoology A-Z":

I remember reading that the actual word used to describe these creatures "Crypto" is the Latin for "Hidden". So I suppose Crypto would be correct, but it just sounds wierd. Cryptoid reminds me of more human-like creatures. So, Cryptid.
