Good question. It's a situation we have no experience with (earthquake I mean) so further research is warranted.

Just to throw a twist into the whole thing, to create such a tsunami would not be that hard to do. All you would have to do is create an underwater landslide. That could be done in a matter of ways. Find a very large mountain(underwater of course) blow off half the side of it and wow you have a wave.

Use a nuclear device hell why not,it's 4000 ft deep no one would be able to tell and those that could would be regulated as was done at any nuke test range 60 yrs ago.

It did not have to be nuclear at all.

That is but just one site to look this up at. If this was to be developed where would they test it? Off the coast of Florida dontgetit.gif

Just to add a nuclear test/detonation does register as an earthquake.
