I keep trying to connect to the chatroom but everytime i try it just says unable to connect, connection close, it's getting pretty frustrating because spooks was trying to help me with my coursework on there!!!

Download mIRC and go into the chat that way.

I tried that but when I clicked on the links like mirc it said page cannot be displayed :S but this one works fine and messenger is running and all that so my server must be ok

Hey sorry about yesterday, somehow I had managed to block everything on my comp except this and messenger, then when I restarted it, everything was blocked! But it's all fixed now hurrah!

But thanks for trying to help anywho!

I get the same problem ames, i've never been able to solve it. It happens with mirc as well....

Never been able to use it myself.
And i've downloaded everything. *shrugs*

If you're on a network, or connecting to the internet through a proxy, that might explain why you are unable to connect. Also make sure your firewall is not blocking the connection.

Its not that saru....its like the chat server just isn't there. o_o

I'm not sure what else to suggest

The chat server is definately up and running, so it has to be a problem at your end.
