Hey Sarah
I watched it last night. Thought it was pretty good and liked the portrayl of the parapsychologist looking at the whole situation rationally instead of making wild assumptions, as it should be. Pretty creepy in places, I was watching it over the cushion!
I missed tonights one though. Can you tell me what happened?

Hy Lottie,
It was very clever.
It turns out that the mother had killed the Bolivian nanny when she had returned to Britain to tell the family about how the father had raped her. The mother had flipped, hit her with the hammer, put in the back of the mercedes took her somewhere burnt her things and drowned her in a big vat of water.
The eldest daughter Clair was possesed and was choking that made the mum confess but meanwhile the woman parapsychologist was getting psychic phenomenon happening to her (don`t know if they are permanent or caused by the spirity, poltogiesty thing) and was able to track down the body and visualise what had happened.
Very annoyingly when they watched the video playback of events all the strange happenings didn`t show eg. a washing machine hit the prof but on playback it looked like he just jolted forwards the washing machine didn`t move!!!
The missing Alec story line was clever. Craig and the girlfriend go to visit the grandmother and find her husband wasn`t even a pilot he was ground crew and nothing seemed to connect him to anything that had happened but later they discover that he wasnt the grandfather the grandmother had been pregnant when she married him by a spitfire pilot. He had been shot down but his body never found. It turns out that the plane had crashed landed along the leyline.
Craig and the girl find the place the plane crashed and look around that area. They find a new grave and a little way away Alec is lying unconcious.
It would appear that he had been possessed by the real grandfather and walked all the way with the mission of finding and burying the body. He was Catholic and had attended the Church being renovated.
Oh yes it transpires from looking at injuries on the body (skeleton) that the grandfather had been a rock climber and Alec had not dissapeared poof but had climbed ouit of the window!!!
Sorry if this seems a bit rambling but I am a bit tired.
Oh I have found out that ithis is a series. Episode 2 is on Sat (part 1) and part 2 on Sunday with episode 3 part 1 and 2 the following weekend.
This is season 2 and season 1 DVD comes out end of this month.
Thanks for replying,
Sarah

Weird
I just watched Sea Of Souls and decided to have a look at this website as a result.
How bizarre that my 1st post is about Sea of Souls!
I enjoyed the programme. I watched the 1st series and was surprised that the characters were changed for this series even though some of the stories had seemed a bit weak.
This series has started off pretty well with 2 interesting storylines that kept the interest and intrigue going to the very end.
Bodes well for the remainder.

Thanks for the info Sarah.

So was there any conclusion to why they had all the 'paranormal' stuff going on in the house?
As for the first series I cannot remember them now. I think they were pretty good though.
And welcome sleeping giant! Happy posting.

Hi,
I think it was the nanny trying to tell what had happened even though she wasn`t murdered there. Maybe it was the family she was haunting not the actual house.
It worked though as by focusing on the girl it made the mum crack and confess.
Just remembered the hammer had been used to hit her on the head with, the car had been used to transport her, the key to the car was hidden in the washing machine. The nanny had a lucky pendant (didn`t work!!) that was in the girls bathroom cabinet, hidden in a vitamin jar. The parapsychologists said that she must have an emotional problem or worry which was enabling the poltergeist to use her as a focus well it turns out she had found the necklace so was worrying about it and what could have happened ect.

The first series was good because it wasn't a police/hospital/makeover/soap programme. The 2nd story about the young boy was in my opinion the best.
Bill Paterson is always worth watching and if you enjoyed this weekends stories you should like the DVD.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Sleeping giant,
I think I will put my order in,
Sarah
P.S. Did you ever watch a series called poltergiest:The legacy? It was a similar thing only the investigators had paranormal `powers` too.
