It's too hard to choose.

Mario was great because he was the original and I played my NES system until I couldn't play it anymore. I'm still trying to get my NES to work just to play mario, but it's too messed up. So I then went onto Sonic for Sega Genesis and it filled the void or the emptyness I was feeling cause I couldn't play Mario. And all the levels in Sonic were really cool too and Mario was just amazing with all the crazy levels and mushrooms kingdon and fireballs and all that wonderful stuff. They both had good bosses too.

So at the end of the day I'd be more happy doubling my pleasure and choosing both!

Well I had a Mega Drive growing up so I choose Sonic and the Sonic games were my fave but my friend had a SNES and I always enjoyed playing Mario Allstars and Donkey Kong 3...

Although I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the new Sonic games and I have liked all the new Mario games - 64, Sunshine, Paper...

Nintendo has the best characters/franchises... Mario, Starfox, Donkey Kong, Metroid and of course The Legend of Zelda...

sonic the hedgehog has and will always have a special place in my heart. everytime i play 1-3 or sonic and knuckles i get a nostalgic feeling like im 6. in fact i just recentley started playing sonic 3 with s&k trying to get all of the emeralds for all the characters haha. the gameplay, graphics and the music are just so much better in my opinion.

Mario is better by far. I like Sonic but I bought the Sonic greatest collection for ps2 after playing it became very repetitive. While I can go back to a Mario game and still have fun. While Sonic is cool running around grabbing rings gets boring after awhile. While Mario is awesome I like Donkey Kong even more I love DK!
