Dumb post for the day, what music does everyone listen to here? Me, i like techno, japanese music, and video game music. Utada hikaru's my favorite, i'll post a link up for one of her songs shortly.

Rap/ Hip-Hop.....mostly

anything not rap, hip hop, country or techno..... and emo.... I mostly like classical rock and some heavy metal.... I also like bands with heavy riffs, like Chevelle and whatever...

I'm not really sure what to call the music I like. Sometimes people call it "Screamo" So I guess that's it. lol. I also like a lot of classic rock and showtunes.

a lot of ill-informed people call what i listen to "screamo" but they are mistaken. They think that anything with screaming is "screamo"... this is not true. Screaming+Emo= Screamo. I like metalcore (fordirelifesake, between the buried and me, the bled), and indy (at the drive in, coheed and cambria, Jimmy Eat World)music. I also like some worship music, like David Crowder.

Switchfoot, Creed, somtimes Nickleback, i really dont listen to variety of music and mixture of christian music..more rocky stuff though...like switchfoot

emo, what's that? I've been hearing the word used alot lately, but no one ever actually described it yet.

i listen to some hardcore and emo. and some punk. mainly emo.



"screamo" is the same thing as "emo". emo was around way before the used and taking back sunday. if you listen to many of the original emo bands(rights of spring, moss icon), you'll see that screaming was always a part of emo. many people think emo is soft and whiny, but this is only because many bands that came out in the early 90's(sunny day real estate) were soft, and mistakenly categorized as emo.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and so far I've replied mostly to music threads. I love music, listen to CD's all day long at work, and use em to get me pumped up when we go out.


I like everything from Lynrd Skynrd, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, and Kid Rock to Ying Yang Twins and Outkast. Just depends on my mood. Tonight......I'm in a Stevie Ray Vaughn mood. Kicked back and listening to Little Wing (which is a Jimi song too, so it's all good)

Mostly listen to rock with some pop thrown in for rainbow colour.

Favourite song would have to be MONKEY WRENCH from Foo Fighters. That track has a lot of energy and isn't all muddled.
