why cant more RAP be old school like Ice T did with body count?...now I am A metal head BUT do like some RAP,
especially the beats...it just seems like rap goes through some really stagnant periods ....then again so does metal!

So far aint no good music coming out. The New T.I. album should be good. A lot of albums gettin' pushed back!
Also album sales for the industry aint good at all no more. Albums only selling about 300,000 albums AT THE MOST!
Rap has changed, but I'm still supporting it.

Yeah you can tell huge Pac fan. Rap almost dead I don't believe so...I thing more artists are lacking in there music(I'm sure you'll agree with that) and the fact that artists use to sell up to A Million albums. And now the average amount a artists sells is 300,000 to 600,000 albums if lucky!
Big number DROP! That's why most artists are signing to INDEPENDENT record companys so they get paid every 2 or 3 months. And make up to 8$ a album they sale. Figure 8 X's 300,000 that's good amount! Compared to being signed to a major label who can give 3$ off every albums sale...
since albums are not selling. I agree it is not as good as use to be so almost dead...it's possible haha!

Well, that raised my interest. I didn't know what to expect from Ra's upcoming album but at least the names involved...phew! I'm really starting to look forward to the album. Thanks for the info.
As for Thozzman...well, he's not really the most open-minded person out there and seems to be a bit stuck in his ways...so don't mind his comments

I love Rap. Some artists such as...
Tupac
BIG
Bone Thugs N Harmony
Eminem/d12
Snoop
Dre
Mike Jones
Paul Wall
Chamillionaire
Twista
TI
The Game
50
I can go on and on.
My big thing is the chopped and screwed stuff and diss tracks. The Game is notorius for making 20+ tracks on dissing 50 and GggGU-Not. Even though I like em both, The Game can rip it up with anyone.
Underground joints are nice too. When I lived in the city we had a store that would distribute underground artists for 5 bucks a pop. Some were good, some however blew....various if you cut the track in the studio or in your mothers basement.

I'm also into B-Boying. I also sometimes join a freestyle battle. People here rap real wack, since they don't speak real good English. Man, some of them doesn;t even know what phat, chips and crank means!
